After a test drive yesterday I decided to take the plunge and have ordered a new rapid sport in red and am using my old banger of a fabia SDI for the 3k PX. They had a red one in group stock so should have it in 10 days instead of the 8-12 weeks for a factory order.

From what I understand the red sport is pretty unique, most in white. Excited, I would say so!

I did the car builder on the Skoda website and I have to say it looks ace, they are going to autoglym it for me too as they couldn't do anything on price. I'll post pics when I get it. What's the score with iPods and the MDI interface? Is there a special cable ?

Another Corrida Red Sport on the way here, but we've been quoted 12 weeks for a factory order. Not too bothered as no real rush.

No idea, I would imagine it would be black though,anything else would be a bit weird. Getting really excited now

what engine and did you get a good deal. i got offered one but i turned it down as i thought you could only get in white my mistake 

1.2tsi 105bhp, drove the spaceback version and its a really mice engine. Really good deal as I'm getting 3k PX for my old battered fabia sdi. Put anotyer1k down and it's 150/month

Just couldn't get them to move on price as the margins (they said) were small with the trade in. That said, I'm getting 3k from a car that's realistically only worth a few hundred.

Even better, the car was delivered this monring and after a wee bit of negotiation with the garage they are able to get it prepped for me to pick up TODAY at 4pm.  Soooo excited and Ill havie it in time to take on hols next week!

How did you find the drive on those 17" wheels? They look really good, red and black is a good combo.

I'll get some inside pics at some point, in had just nipped back out to take a few as people were wanting to see it.

Ride is nice, I don't find it hard at all so I'm not sure what people are talking about although obviously the ride on fatter tyres will be bouncier!

I don't seem to have an MDI interface, is that just for the amundsen . I bought the following cable for my iPod but can't find anywhere to plug it in:
