Hello, I've got Skoda Fabia VRS  mk1  2006

The problem is that, my car is started to smoke more than before, and the RPM is jumping up and down between 0.9 - 1.4 RPM

Can anybody help me finding the problem ?

When I had an erratic idle (a few weeks ago now) it turned out to be a failed tensioner.

May not be your issue though :wonder:

Could also be the MAF? mine wouldn't idle correctly when it broke, deffo start with a scan and go from that

The Maf was suggested firstly when my symptoms appeared.

 

Just shows how difficult something is to diagnose without having the car scanned (Although the scan of mine showed nothing prior to taking it into my mate's garage)
