My Race Blue Rapid Sport/Now Rejected.

Featured Replies

Hi guys i have just ordered a Rapid Sport in Race Blue.My dealer didn,t have one but has located one up country at another dealer and has stated up to 4 weeks for collection.I,m very excited about this as the car will be joining my Citigo Sport at home as i didn,t want to part with it for the Rapid.

I will know more details tommorow when i go and sign on the dotted line :)

I,m hoping i can Bluetooth to the car and play music like i can with my Citigo via PiD.Is this possible?

The dealer gave me an Elegance to drive at lunchtime today as i said i have never driven a 105ps Rapid before. He assured me i wouldn,t be disappointed.I must admit i was amazed at what the 1.2 tsi can put out in power.A really enjoyable drive :)

I,ll update this thread when i get more details :)

Went in this afternoon to sign the order form and pick things I wanted to add. Should be 3 to 4 weeks until collection :)

I might still go for the Amunsden upgrade but undecided yet.

Counting the days now.....

Sent from my IPhone 5 using Tapatalk.

We look forward to seeing pictures in 3 to 4 weeks please.   A Sport in Race Blue should be a beauty.

You should be able to bluetooth music from your phone - it always offers me the option, but I keep my music on USB memory sticks which plug in at the bottom of the dashboard fascia.   (If you re-format the memory stick with the FAT32 option ticked, the unit recognises mp3's just fine!)

Thanks Bealine for the tip :)

I Bluetooth already in the Citigo easily so I'm pleased the Rapid will do it too.

I chose the Race Blue colour as I have always liked it on the Octavia :)

It's going to be a slow 4 weeks :(

Yeah, I have my iPhone hooked up via Bluetooth to my Rapid Sport. I can't use the audio controls for track advance etc but it's dead simple to just stick a playlist on from Spotify and get going.

Thanks for that and you already answered my next question too :)

Shame you can't use the Swing audio for track selection etc :(

That's the primary reason I don't use my phone + bluetooth to be honest, I'm instead using a usb+aux-in cable with my iPod so I get full playlist control + song info on the Swing unit.

For controlling playback on Bluetooth both the actual phone and the car's multimedia unit need to support AVRCP (needs version 1.3 for track meta information), but manufacturers seem to assume that nobody will know what any of this means and therefore don't seem to publish which standards they conform to, meaning researching whether your phone and/or car are even capable of doing this becomes a complete guessing game :(

Thanks Thecko for the information. Very useful to know :)

Citigo and a Rapid!! :) Looking forward to seeing it, I saw a brand new Rallye Green Rapid Sport when we were picking up my mums Yeti, it did look really nice!

Thanks Leon.

The dealer has told me today that it's built now and will be on time for September 1st registration :)

I've also asked them if it's possible to do an Amundsen upgrade too. They're getting back to me soon as the accessory catalogue only shows a Kenwood :(

Have to agree on the Rallye green; even better on a Spaceback Sportpack ;)  :giggle:

It's the best colour I think :)

I'm in 2 minds to change to this from my Fabia.   Love the look of the Rapid in blue!   Please post up a few more pix when you get a chance.

Whilst signing some paperwork today I was told it's having the Amundsen fitted in at the moment :)

One thing I really wanted [emoji106]

What sort of deal did you get on the rapid? I love my citigo but am tempted by a rapid....

It's on a 0% 36 month PCP deal with 3 years free servicing. I've given no deposit on it either. There's a few in the system already to be made so a short delivery time :)

I've only waited 1month for it.

If you don't mind me asking how much is that costing a month?

I've got it on 15000 miles annually.I forgot to mention that.

It works out at £237 but I have specced an Amundsen and a spare wheel on top of the price. Also you get a £2000 discount from SUK :)

You do get some really good PCP deals. I pxed a battered old fabia worth a couple of hundred, £1j down and £150 for 42 months on a rapid sport (without Amundsen)
