Audi version of Citigo

Featured Replies

I wonder if the Led headlights of the Audi are a different shape? Maybe they will fit the Citigo. Any one at Preston Motors checked this one out yet?

Has the A0? Been announced?

Just noticed a photo.

I doubt they'll fit. Too narrow top to bottom :(

No chance with the Led tail lamps. Completely different, horizontal not vertical. Headlamps may fit with gaffer tape and filler!

It'll have enough difference in the front and rear panels that neither the front or rear lights will fit.

IMO

Surely it will be expensive enough that only a pretentious badge snob would buy one.

BossFox will get one and change the badges to Skoda Citigo. Maybe!

Just a rich man's Skoda. Just enough changes to be unique. We already save hundreds over a UP. what more could it offer that Skoda could not put on the Citigo?

An Audi badge, and that is all that some (really strange) people want in a car.

I thought the CitiGo/Mii/Up were not selling in the numbers VAG had hoped for? Can't see how offering a more expensive version is going to help that.

Judging by the waiting times for the Citigo they seem to be very popular here in the UK,dont know about the rest of Europe.

Indeed. Forums seem to suggest they can't build them fast enough. But the motoring press are saying the opposite and that VAG may in fact be planning to stop production in the future. God knows then.

Better cabin noise insulation as well as upholstery most likely, and of course the Audi badge.

I guess Audi being top brand of VAG could also decide to stick a more powerful motor in, as well as a different drivetrain, e.g. diesel or a hybrid would not be out of the question despite the car's size and primary purpose.

With this in mind, I am looking forward to the upcoming Audi Rapid 2.0CR 140bhp with acoustically dampened rear parcel shelf  :p

Pics look good, but like most everything in Auto Express it's just hot fart wind. I'm still waiting for the Citigo 4x4 Scout they promised me last year.

Even if the Audi version does see the light of day, I'll bet some money that those wheels won't be either standard or offered as an option.

I won't deny it's existence straight away - there was enough people suckered in by the badge on the horrible little A1 to know there are plenty of badge snobs in this world.

I can't see how they an make it work. If they price is at say, 12k why not buy a polo or a fabia?

It does look the part but I can't really see a place for it?

They have the A1 which is doing well and I think the A0 will just be too much money?

I want them to release it, just so we can find some nice upgrades to the Citigo parts bin ;-)

(Including a better stereo, hopefully..... PID or not, the standard one is god-awful)

Yeah. I agree.

I think people in that market want a cheap to buy, cheap to run car thats quirky and fun.

An audi badge would make the first one far out of reach, surely.

Judging by the amount I see, I think the Citigo/Mii/Up! is doing very well. The A0 will sell but not in the high volume like the rest. Yes people will buy it, as an entry level into Audi ownership.....which will be the start for maybe younger people.

Cleverly priced and aimed at the younger 20 something iPhone, designer loving idiot, I mean hipster then it will do well.

The actual figures for registered cars in the UK do not look that good for the Citigo, and the Mii.
