Which is the side for standard fitting on a MK2 PRE FL?

What are people's reasoning for choosing left or right? I was thinking that the original holder is on the left(?) so if I got the rhs strut I could keep this in place just as a backup?

Could I suggest that a deadline for payment - say 14 days - be set so that this GB can go forward in a reasonable timescale? Given the number who signed up for it and the rate of payment already, this GB will clearly succeed in its aim even if some members drop out.

I see some have ordered right side for Octy 2? Is that still compatible? I have gone for left side which is slightly more expensive.

Something else to note for any Octy 3 owners, there appears to be an option for if you do or dont have active hood protection. I'm going to have to go out and check my car, but I think it may, so will have to make a note of that too on the order.

Well spotted.  I don't have the active hood protection on mine.

Only very early vRS had the active hood protection, its not available now even as an option.

Basically I think it shoots the bonnet up like a cushion if you run someone over... My vRS was a very early demonstrator, so probably does have it, I'll be checking when I get home.
