Car Insurance for vRS

Featured Replies

Searching around the interweb looking for Insurance for my vRS Tdi

For years I used a local broker for my cars..

This year there quoting £535- £900 I know i had a claim 2 years ago someone drove in to my car when parked and drove off not stopping ..

Can I ask... how much, you lot are paying..?? i know some areas you live are cheaper than others and age of driver..

£148.40 (including tax).  12 years with no claims after many years of company cars (no claims for 5+ years), £100 excess, for wife & I, 12K miles/annum.  Gloucestershire and 68.  Via IAM insurance for members scheme.

£250 from Aviva for myself and wife, 10k miles, 9y NCB, £200 excess. On top of that was broker's fee, legal protection etc - but then again I did get the grey seat stitching so it matched my hair ;-)

£160

I'm paying about 250 through RAC

Just had my renewal in today. Esure, £189 inc legal cover. 17yrs no claims, 12k miles, £250 excess for Mrs & I.

Around £500 with Esure.....regretting that decision now I've needed to claim though.....never again. And I didn't read the policy terms beforehand and only found out when about to go abroad you are only covered 3rd party in Europe! The additional premium for fully comp for the 2 weeks while I was away made them quite more expensive (added to the yearly policy fee) compared to others which included it as standard. Lessons learned.

27 with 3 years no claims (1 x £500 fault accident last year)

Sometimes it's worth paying more a decent insurer.....if there are any.

£418 through Aviva with £350 XS, enhanced courtesy car and protected NCD for single driver aged 49 in North London.

£183 with Hastings direct. £95 excess. Wiltshire. Me and the wife (34 yes old) with protected no claims.

(2013 petrol vrs est)
