2007 vRS wing mirror - which connector?

Featured Replies

Greetings Briskies!

I've had my O/S wing mirror side swiped by another car today, knocking the shell-housing clean off (fortunately unbroken), but shattering the indicator lens.

Having poked around the web it suggests that I need to be sure that in buying a new lens kit, I ensure I get the right electrical connector... Shy of pulling the whole thing apart and driving with no wing mirror at all, does anyone know an easy way of identifying it - is the different age, model or spec related for example?

Thanks all, Jon

It is a spec dependent part for the lens/mirror underside and it depends whether you have mirror puddle lights or not as to the connection. Do you?

Part number for driver (right) side is 1Z0949102C (about £30) without or 1Z0949102D (about £45) with puddle lights.

Thanks Adamal... I don't believe I do have puddle lights, certainly not that I'd noticed. The original buyer didn't exactly go to town on spec items with my vRS - no parking sensors either, but I'll check tomorrow.
