Top VCDS mods?

So because your car doesn't support it that means no other yeti does??? Strange as it is an option offered by Skoda UK and the following post from your own superior section of the forum says so too....... Maybe in the Yeti the ABS pump required was only fitted as standard after 2010????

Still no excuse for an obnoxious and rude a response as you originally came back with.

Hill Hold was not an option other than when fitted with the complete "Off Road Button" system on vehicles below Elegance spec. Therefore if it was not specified it could not be retro-programmed.

But what do I know, I only drive one.

VAG must really hold the Yeti up on a pedestal as it appears it's the only vehicle in the VAG range that they haven't standardised parts on.

So anyway how did I manage to have XDS enabled on my car when it isn't even an option on any Superb of any spec???? But hey what do I know? I only drive one.

More than me!

I'll try fella. Makes you wonder why you should bother trying to help people though sometimes.

Have your left handed froggle grommet camber shims tweaked at the same time, it's a real no brainer. In Germany it's also known as a kerfurtlebury.

Yes, back to VCDS options only please

So another quick search in the Yeti forum found this thread from an owner who has enabled XDS on his Yeti via VCDS.... Even though a dealer posted in the same thread that it couldn't be done on a Yeti....

Maybe HHC is a quick tick in a box in that same relevant section (ABS section along with the XDS) of VCDS??? Who knows.... Maybe the yeti is more standardised than we all thought. ;)

PS I just 'liked' the info - not that you feel you have to leave!

I might come back to visit every so often.... I promise to have my jabs and wash my hands first though. ;)

Anyway we all know LuxoBarges are bestest. ;)

What's a Yeti?

:)

Best two for me are Hill Hold Control and XDS.

Tell me more about XDS....what is it, why would I enable/disable it (if I could)?

Doesn't it potentially enhance/stiffen up the handling?

(PS - excuse me for infiltrating, but I don't own a Yeti :()

From what I've read, it applies light (or not so light depending on setting) brake pressure to the inside wheels on corners to reduce the chance of them losing traction.

Not convinced I'd want to enable that even if I could (actually, it might have been useful on my 2wd yeti, but can't see the point on my 4wd)

What does it do that the stability programme fails to do?

I have enabled HHC with VCDS on my Yeti long time ago...

My Yeti is 2.0 TDI 4x4 170 from 2010... I also enabled it to my friend's Yeti (2.0 TDI 4x4 110).

ABS module must be with integrated inclination sensor G251 and every Yeti with OFF ROAD has it.

See this thread:

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/317483-off-road-button-hill-hold/#entry3802661

So after all, this and the thread I linked earlier CONFIRM that BOTH the mods I originally suggested ARE INDEED possible on the Yeti.

Here's some info from VW on what XDS is.....

http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/technology/braking-and-stability-systems/xds

The HHC works by detecting you are on an incline and when you take your foot off the brake pedal it keeps the brakes applied for upto 2 seconds or until you get biting point so you drive away smoothly without any roll back. It works in both forward and reverse too.

Living in a city like Sheffield it's something I've used everyday I drive the car even when just leaving home as our driveway is on an incline.
