I finally got Lollipop on my HTC One M7 this weekend. It seems decent!

  • Motorola have confirmed v1/2 Moto G and X will get the update in time for Christmas. Samsung have surprisingly said that the S3 will get it, but not until early next year. S4 & 5 should have it

Got a 5.1.1 update the other day.

Didn't notice any difference tbh

Still waiting for 5.0 on the S4 on EE- really getting frustrated with them now. Tempted to move once my contract is up just for this alone!

Not sure how true it is but I had heard that it is possible to download the vanilla Samsung firmware on it without it borking the phone (it kills a couple of EE apps but not that worried about those). Tempted to try it but for only about 3 weeks left on the contract I think i will just wait until the new phone (which will have lollipop from new)

5.1 is out for the HTC One M7 GPE now, complete with backlight fix for the capacitive buttons. Other than that I've not noticed a difference from 5.0.1.

I have 5.0.1 on my S4 and I am on EE. I got it several weeks ago too

It's a vanilla Nexus 7 I have so no phone provider to wait on.

I have heard that from a number of other people as well which just serves to increase the frustration! :swear::punch::wall::@

Probably going to get an S6 (or maybe even the S6 Edge) in a couple of weeks (just realised my earliest upgrade date is the 29th May and not into June as I had thought without paying extra).

There is something to be said for vanilla phones - as said above I was tempted to flash the vanilla Samsung ROM onto it but with upgrade so close I might not bother.

6 months since the release of 5.0 is a bit ridiculous though.

I'm eligible for an upgrade but with the wait on the S6 I can't guarantee I'll be able to pick it up when it would arrive.  :(

Do fancy an Edge version though:)

They do look amazing - although I will miss the ability to slot in a memory card or change out the battery.

I will miss the SD card, but guess the 64Gb will suffice. I am not sure about the battery though. My S4 had a battery replacement (done for free at the Samsung shop! :) ) as it had started to lose capacity early in it's life, in part due to a flaw in production. Don't know what I would do if it happened to the Edge, especially as it's my work phone and I am self employed.

My wife has the S6 (non edge as she was too scared of the damage if dropped). Nice phone but not much difference to her old S4.

Got it on the nexus 10, but nexus 6 still on 5.1 Can't say I noticed any difference.
