Can't retro fit cruise control?

Featured Replies

Been told by my supplying dealer that cruise control can't be retrofitted to my model!!

It's a FL Yeti Greenline, I've contacted another dealer who says it can but he's just checking prices?

Is this a case speaking to the wrong person at the original dealer? I know the boss but he's on holiday and thought some of you may have had the retrofit done?

Im sure you will be able to. You can on all the other models...

there is no reason why, if you can put it on a pre fl mk1 octy why a yeti have it done... Theres a thread in citigo about an aftermarket kit being fitted by a dodgy dealer, that tried to claim oem CC cant be done post factory too. Its bs imo, just a matter of the parts and time/ability of the tech doing the job.

Don't know what would have been changed to prevent fitting CC. It been possible for the last 15 years at least, even if it required a bit of new wire.

Perhaps the person you spoke to has just moved from a Ford dealer? I seriously looked at a Cmax until I found the only way to have cruise was to go straight to a titanium level model, no possibility of a retro fit.

Darrell, maybe I am wrong but I could have sworn that you had an Elegance spec Yeti? If so, CC is standard from the SE upwards.

Eddie-NL has got back to me already, gotta love the knowledge on this forum!!

Basically a VCDS scan is needed to find out what part number i have in address 16, the module will be 5K0 953 549 or 5K0 953 569

:)

Top stuff. Glad you're getting sorted out! :).

Hes a very knowledgable guy and always seems happy to help.

I've bought stuff off him before :).

Shark Performance retrofitted cruise control to my Octavia FL.

TBF Eddie knows more specifics about the later stuff than myself. I've not had much to do with the newer systems after leaving Skoda over two years ago now.
