Anyone else had this problem? My 2.5k mile diesel VRS has let me down already. Driving down the M1 the glowplug light came on so I pulled off and stopped and restarted the car next time it came up with engine man light and went into limp home home , gutless and juddering like it was misfiring. got to in laws just up the road and called skoda  assist, AA man came and his laptop said turbo airleak  he crawled around the car but couldn't find a problem. car in Vindis now who cant find a problem and say that fault wont occur for them.

What a surprise there!

I had a similar problem with my vRS about 6months ago (and 6000km).

Drove it to the local Skoda garage after work (they have what is called "drop-in-service" here in Switzerland where they look at small problems when you just turn up).

The boost pressure sensor was faultly & by 9am the next morning everything was fixed.

Seemed like a common fault as they checked the sensor before even plugging any diagnostic tool in.

 

Probably the Skoda assist man cleared the faults, so the garage now cannot see an error code.

My fault was also intermittant at the beginning but eventually resulted in a permenant limp-home.
