Bit off topic, but how did you get the columbus to power up out of the car? I've got a cd in an amundsen unit that needs removing! (oh, and free bump ;) )

Modified an old quadlock connector, and a 12v power supply from Ebay.

Be quicker and easier to just pop it back in the car to remove the cd though I reckon.

would i need to cange anything to get this to work in a 56 octavia?

Almost certainly need a new CAN gateway, or the modified Columbus firmware to avoid battery drain issues.

CAN gateway and new fascia.

Or a modified firmware which does exist.
