mudflaps

Featured Replies

They look the same but the part numbers are different on the SEAT. Why not ask a dealer that sells both - Hortons of Lincoln for instance.

In fact your ebay seller sells SEAT bits as well

Well I was within a few minutes of a Skoda dealer up in Derbyshire today so I popped in. I am confident the mudflaps will fit, same profile, same arch liners and fixtures on both back and front of the Rapid and Toledo so have ordered a set.

 Money saved is always good.

I managed to fit mine without taking any wheels off, although I do have 15" steelies ...

Mudflaps turned up today.

They look like they will fit perfectly, just offered them up and all the fixing holes line up with those already on the car.

So yes Rapid mudflaps fit the Toledo. £55 delivered from Caffyns, Tunbridge Wells.

I believe I'm getting front and rear mudflaps (plus rubber cabin mats) for my birthday in a couple of weeks.

The current weather and the spray up the sides of the car are clear indicators that they are a must-have (and i have had them fitted eventually to every car I've owned).

As it'll be a wheels off job I need a dry day to get it done.

Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk, please excuse any typos.

I normally end up with socks and a pair of slippers for my birthday.

I also have a full set of mud flaps to fit. Having just cleaned the car, will aim to add these soon when isn't too cold or wet. Fortunately have the smaller wheels so hoping I won't need to remove them. The instructions (diagrams) seem to suggest you don't need to.

I didn't remove the wheels, just stick the front wheels on full lock to one side for each wheel arch. You do need to drill a hole in the bottom of the front arch liner for the base hole on the mudflap. I attacked it from the rear with a drill as from inside the wheel arch with the wheel fitted it's a no no. You just need to offer the mudflap up and mark the position from under the car, I used a dab of white paint to mark the spot to drill. Then it's just a push fit plastic clip (supplied)  The rears are easier, again two screws and a push fit plastic clip to secure, no drilling as the hole is already there for the bottom fixings.

Thanks for the heads up. Noticed the holes for the rear one's while cleaning the car. Will therefore start with these first.

Both pairs were fitted while it remained dry (but cold) yesterday, Tackled the rears first with no issue.

While the drill hole is required for the front, with the wheels on full lock I was able to bolt on the mud flaps (and when both in place), on the opposite wheel drill (slightly cack handed) from inside the wheel arch.

Just need some wet weather to see if these reduce the spray from the tyres onto the bodywork. Anything to keep a white car remaining that little bit cleaner!

I've just purchased a 2018 Seat Toledo Xcellence and looking to put mud flaps on it. The Seat prices are mental. From reading the thread, it looks like the Rapid one will fit and I'm looking at ordering these from Superskoda.

However, will these still fit the 2018 Toledo and what rear mud flaps do I go for as there's one for a Rapid Spaceback and one for a Rapid Limousine?

Limousine it'll be for the Toledo.

I can't see any body shape changes to the Toledo, I'm sure those with the later model can confirm better than me though.

Thanks for clearing that up.
