S-Max woes..

Featured Replies

My S-Max is clearly trying to tell me I should bin it. My brakes don't work in the morning..the pedal is solid for about a quarter mile. This is daily. Now this morning the turbo wouldn't kick in. Then the esp light came on. I pulled over, switched off and back on and the turbo and esp light were off and all was fine. This isn't the first time either.

Any ideas? Its a 2.0tdci 140bhp.

No idea but it sounds massively dangerous!

Careful!

Dodgy servo?

Because Ford. ;)

:D

It needs seeing to as it could get worse and with the breaks get dangerous. Get someone to look at it asap.

Yeah when the brakes break it's very dangerous.

i know one of my colleagues had similar issues with one of our connect vans, heavy brakes then esp, then all the dash lights then limp mode.. It was the abs module freaked out once over 40mph. New module and engine management system reprogramme was needed. Took the garage 4wks arguing with ford to get it sorted...

This isn't good, I can't believe how many issues you've had with your S-Max. I've not heard of any of those problems before

Volvos with the ford 2.0 diesel lump had a recall for the valve on the VAC pump sticking and causing no brakes

If its this engine
