Hit and Run - guess the make/model/reg.

Featured Replies

Had this on one of the work cars.

Any guesses as to the make, model and reg of the offending vehicle?

That was what we thought, but rear door is a sliding one.  So it can't be a Galaxy.

I've got an idea on a partial reg but don't want to suggest as it may influence independant views.

B-Max or C-Max

scratch that, its a galaxy IMO

Have you had a play with any video editing software to see if you can zoom on the reg or change the contrast?

I thought it may be an S-Max

They're pretty big

I'm fairly sure that's the new shape C Max

Looks like one of the Hyundai things to me

S max and Galaxy both have proper doors rather than sliding don't they, hence why I thought C Max

Can you post any stills? Youtube mess about with/compress the video as I recall.

It can't be a Galaxy or S Max as they have forward opening doors all round.

If you pause the video at the crash the rear door has a handle at the front of it and a runner for it slide along that goes to the rear light.

No, I have not had chance to use imaging software as it's not really my field of expertise.

Any help obviously appreciated.

Fair enough, I've never really paid much attention to people carriers.

Richard if you could upload it to Dropbox and provide a link then we can all try and help further with the reg. Via aid of software

If you watch the video direct on youtube it runs in 1080p, which gives the same quality as the camera I believe.

I can run this zoomed in on a package on my desktop in slow speed and see what's what - but the original video will be better quality I'd imagine. There's probably someone on here with far better skills/software though?!

Pretty sure it'll chuff it about and reduce size/quality. May be wrong.

Grand C max as earlier said due to the angle around the number plste

Im with the c-max

Well spotted with the sliding door.

I've just scoured the internet for similar kia's or hyundai's (how they like to copy manufacturers) but cant find anything even similar.

I take it you werent driving then richard? Dont suppose there was any cameras on that stretch of road that might of spotted it?

My sister was driving as I'd lent her the car...

No, couldn't see any cameras.

The bottom of the very back window seems to slope back forwards on the one on the vid though.

This is what confuses me

Typical eh!

I've listened to 'feckin idiot!!' About 20 times now trying to figure it out lol.

I've zoomed in but its super blurry on the plate. Needs someone cleverer than me. Shouldn't be hard.
