Rear footrests

Featured Replies

Now I might be dreaming but I am sure I read somewhere that the mk2 superb is meant to have rear footrests is this correct?

I have had a look at mine and can't seem to find any and was wondering if they might be hiding somewhere.

Thanks,

Chris

What spec level do you have? I presume you are referring to the 'lounge step' which is a slightly raised footrest which sits in the rear passenger footwells. I'm not 100% certain on the UK spec but here they only come with the L&K. They are not great and don't offer much of benefit for rear seat passengers as they are basically mats raised (sloped) up to about an inch and a half with some velcro underneath to help them stick to the main mat. A bit gimmicky if you ask me.....

Ah okay I thought they were possibly plastic and folded out from near the rear footwell lights. I only have an elegance spec which looks like it might explain why I don't have them.

Do you have them on yours? I just thought they sounded quite cool and would be a nice little extra.

This thing?

To reach them from the back seats you must have v-long legs?

these are the ones. I have them but as mentioned above you'd need pretty long legs to be effective! You're not missing much...

Think I might leave them then as I only really have the kids in the back and they won't be able to reach.

I just thought I was missing out/couldn't find them...

You need one of these, trimmed in carpet!

This picture shows Lounge Step quite clear:

Best gimmick ever...we have them also. Only 'value added' item costing less than a couple of pounds making it into the brochure!

I got these when I collected my new car, I had no idea what they were for.

Don't see them been used much by the kids.

Well if anyone has a pair in black they want to get rid of I'll happily take them off your hands please :)

Lol ... I have never seen the point of them really, but then again I don't sit in the back ( come to think of it nobody does Lol ) Look good and other people find them interesting Lol

The mother in law had a nasty fall and broke her leg and I am ferrying her around and these could be useful....

Yes, I could use a cushion/pillow on the floor in the back but if a pair are going cheap I'd rather have some proper Skoda bits :)

I have in my L&K too which is no different to the one you get with 7 Series (prev model), Jag XJ and few other luxury LWB versions.

The footrest has a velcro bottom so it can be moved and positioned within the footwell where you want it. If you carefully see it, one side of the footrest is bit more upright than the other one so depending on your stature or how you want to position your feet, you can adjust it and make yourself comfortable. In fact, I've tried the XJ ones....honestly, not functional at all when compared to SII.

Don't suppose you have a part number for the skoda ones do you?

Any width/length dimensions would be very gratefully received as well!

what do you mean by 'cannot reach from front seat'? These footrests are for Row2 passengers but that doesn't mean Row1 passenger can't use it in front. Is that what you meant?

I think he was implying that from the drivers seat he can not reach them so does not know how effective they are :)
