  • You'd have to be a bit daft to think there won't be. Ford has (unlike other car makers) realised that loads of people remap and found a way to influence what people do to their cars. At least by off

  • This is my one, love the little beast.

  • Makes you wonder why so few makers do have an approved remap available. You'd think it would be better for VAG to be involved in a safe remap for it's products that just leave the door open to a mult

I'm still not warming to those headlights which is a shame as the rest of the front end looks very nice indeed.  Also not sure about the new VC being merged with the central infotainment, it's something I've never liked on MB cars too.  I'd prefer a cowled binnacle as it looks driver focussed  (if that makes sense!?!)

I also can't help but feel the rear end is very i30N.  One of the first GTI's since the mk5 that instantly just doesn't look 'right'.

It's also a shame they used the blue Clark tartan in the GTE as those seats, in blue would look epic in the R.

Toyota GR YarisReally like this package, the top spec package even more fun but at a price.

Will be interesting to pick up a demo / pre reg in say 3-6 months

But will it go the same way as Audi's S1 over priced package.

Audi really missed a trick with the S1 5years ago.

Something has gone a bit Pete Tong with VW or Autocar, or VW & Autocar.   (Honesty is the best policy, and it is good to see motoring journalists telling it as they see & feel things.)

Their reviewer has commented on DSG issues.   Surely by now VW can just build cars and DSG's that will be smooth and quick as you operate the accelerator pedal.

Just reading press release the Sportback starts at £37,900 and the saloon £38,465 with a slightly bigger 370 litre boot (both too small when you're used to a hatch with 625 litres)

I think you need to be more structured with your packing as a bigger boot is probably only needed a couple of times a year! :tongueout:

I had the same issue trying to deploy 380lb/ft in my stage 2 Octavia Vrs245 so I can understand why with only 336lb/ft he found it a bit unruly.

Nice to see VW have ditched the bonnet struts to help make it safer when you collide with pedestrians. Infotainment and the new steering wheel buttons look a step backwards. Only improvement looks to be the DCC.

It is so cheap he couldn't afford number plates. Police allow idiots like him to drive cars? I knew a wally also born in 1993. Must have been a special year.
