They have some to hire for about £10 I think, I just prefer to have my own, and it pays for itself in next to no time because when you've been once you're bound to want more

I am giving the car to my mate Thursday morning and will have his Mini Cooper S to run around in for a few days.

 

But I am gutted at this stage to be out of this. Plan now is to ensure the car is good for the National trackday on 21st June.  I am likely to miss the Santa Pod day too.

I am planning on going to another HowFast? later in the year, with the brakes sorted hopefully and my friend in Nissan GT-R. We could hook up for it if you want?

Damm, I had that sinking feeling when I watched Dave's cam footage that perhaps not all is well with your motor but I kept my mouth shut as many people consider this kind of comments from me as "hate" or negative and the like.

 

I am very sorry to hear that the venerated Mongrel is not well and needs some attention. Hopefully nothing too serious and easily fixable  and it will be in a fighting form for the June's National Meet

 

Can you take the Mini to HowFast? by any chance? :evil:

 

EDIT: I do not want to spook it but due to my family circumstances it is possible that I will not be able to attend either. This is something I have zero influence over and If needed I will have to go at a drop of a hat.

If so I'd suggest...

 

Get to Thurrock Services on the M25 and leave at 8am.

Pass M25 J28 (A12, Brentwood) at 8:10am.

Pass M25 J25 (A10, North London) at 8:30am.

Turn off at M25 J23 and head up the A1M (To avoid Bedford) at 8:40am.

 

If we get seperated we can meet up at South Mimms services at J23 before heading off up the A1M.

 

It's 51 miles from South Mimms to Bedford Autodrome and we'll have over an hour to get there.

Yes I did actually, was googling trackdays 2nd May and this popped up

 

Focus ST running 360bhp.

 

Unsure if I'll do this "how fast" thing or the full trackday on the other circuit! Only other option is llandow which looks a bit boring.
