Briskoda How Fast 2015 Bedford 02/05/2015

Featured Replies

Held at Bedford Autodrome everyone gets an hours practise to learn the track and then 2 individual timed laps to set the fastest possible time.
Fastest lap "wins" and getts bragging rights over the rest of the forum! :p

Circuit looks like this:

Maximum attendence is only 18 cars

The timed element adding a competitive edge and the hour and a bit running meaning it's not as car killing as a full track day, while being a lot of fun.

Don't forget (for those that want to go, usually about 50%) we will be off the pub afterwards for lunch. :)

  • Unlikely, I'm quite slow apparently. I just do well because I have a flash car.

Definitely interested. Not sure what day would be best for me... but as long as I know in advance, I can ask for the day off.

Not something I'll be partaking in this year.

If I'm honest the timed element detracted from the enjoyment of track driving for me. JMTPW.

.

May come down to get a few photos if I'm sorted by then

Interested.  May works ok in terms of timing with Castle Combe and another trackday I have booked. :)

Should at least come to it with all being well, partaking not so sure of just yet but we will see. :D

I'm in    I wouldn't miss it for the world, I have last years times on the piece of paper and my car has been mapped so theoretically I should see an improvement in times.  Not fussed on dates as long as it is a Saturday.

Same for me I think. I'll be sticking to having fun at Blyton I think with a bit of instruction thrown in.

Always works the opposite for me, I never give it everything in the warm-up hour, then go comparatively lary on the timed laps, probably the fear of being caught and holding up the one behind me

I found that even the hour practice wasn't enough to comfortably learn a circuit I had no prior knowledge of. I suppose that's highlighted by a faster lap time in warm up than on the timed section.

I'd much rather take a full day and build up confidence and speed over the course of more laps.

Count me in,

Some of the regulars on facebook are asking for June :D

It will then depend for me if it clashes with shows like GTI international

Just realised this is exactly one week after Castle Combe so some cars might need a little break / repair time :D

I would recommend going for end of May at least.

I'm in, I love these days and a social meal in the pub after. :)

Not worried about the date.  May is fine.

Not sure what I can do to really retain my crown unless I go out and hire an ariel atom for the day or something :D

If I get a cup of any kind it will be nice.  I'll purely be aiming to knock a couple of seconds off last years time/s and I will be as happy as a pig in smelly brown stuff.

Where abouts is this held? Can I come :) obviously you can exclude.my times for not being a skoda

I'm in again, any date. :)

The circuit is at Bedford. :)
