Octavia VRS PD170 PROBLEMS!

Featured Replies

Welcome to Briskoda!

You might be better off posting in the dedicated MkII Octavia forum...

Now you have had the EML and limp-home mode you should have a whole load more fault codes, have you plugged it back in?

Cross check the codes here:

The exhaust gas pressure sensor is a common failure. Do a search for G450.

I'll have a tenner on this been DPF related.

Has it had the VOSA recall done (replacing all four injectors)? There are lots of threads on this recall causing all sorts of issues similar to yours...

Agrees with Silver possible DPF problem. Welcome to the forums anyway and ask the Octavia Mk2 section, lots of more knowledgeable people on there than on the welcome page.

Hello yeah it has had the recall thats why i went straight to the injectors because a few people on here have stated that they have had issues with them not being refitted correctly hence the £120 on new seals. when i was replacing the flexi pipe I.e welding a new one on as its all one and i didn't fancy the £1000 price tag for a pdf just to replace a broken bit of flexi pipe. i had a nosy on the DPF and it didn't looked clogged up at all i mainly do motorway miles with a little commuting around town so it gets plenty of clearing out.
