It kind of put me off the little project i had in mind too. 16" 5 spoke Audi TT wheels refurbed in black with a polished rim......might have to rethink it.

Is Chip Foose a member of Briskoda.?...could do with some drawings

sorry not my cup of tea either... but each to their own..... people laugh at my fake exhaust... yet i like it!

Not my cup of tea, sorry.

I drink from the same cup!! :thumbdwn:

Maybe on a black car they'd look better.......

Edit- but its your car and your opinion that counts :) I reckon lowered it will look much better

Well, I'm going to go against the tide of negativity (which I also experienced when showing photos of my new wheels) and I'm going to say I like them!

It's obvious that some serious suspension is needed (springs will not cut it mate, you're going to need coilovers for this look to work), but I think when you slam it, it'll look great.

I actually think the black handles and rubbing strips (gasp) look good with these wheels.

It's got a bit of a Japanese flavour to it now, but I've seen a number of red cars sporting black wheels with a polished rim now and I think they look ace:

You need to go low like that though! heheeh well, maybe not that low!

yeah nice picture Josh, lowered alot and it probably will look good :)

I like them and I agree with everyone's 'lower it' idea.

Think you'd benefit from a set of black B pillar trims, nice and cheap from your local Skoda dealer. Also the black/red theme is good, I'd go as far to colour code the calipers to red, that'll really set it off.

See, we're not all negative :)

17" konig e-racers with 205/40 proud proud owner.... set me back

I love it man, black spokes silver rims....I'm looking for a set for my car, which is black...

Here's your ride lowered...

It's not a case of lowering it - it needs to be lower than just low. Not so keen on it at the moment!

I'm pondering putting black alloys on my black magic Furby, possibly by refurbing the stds and colouring them [local refurb place reckon they come up a treat]. Looking at the photo though I guess that I'll have to wait until I can afford to drop the suspension...

I'll go against the negative trend too and say  . Look cool in a show car kind of way - work well with the red. Key think though - needs lowering! But you knew that already :D

yeh am gonna drop it next month or so.. finance not really upto it... need to put next week and a half wages in ze bank :thumbdwn: wont dropping it completely destroy ma warranty. a suppose best person to ask is silbury service manager... but common consensus??? i thought about dropping it about 20-30 mm.. a suppose could always get adjustable coilovers and just raise them back to std height everytime it goes to les garage..

Adjustable coilovers don't half make a difference. These are two different cars, but you get the idea. ;) And as you say, they're adjustable too, so can be even higher than the top pic, and a little lower still than the bottom pic. :)

just thought about it.... the springs and dampers wont be warrantised as it should be considered fair wear and teare shouldn't it????

Buying new springs won't be covered by skoda warranty, maybe for 12 months by manufacturer.

Also anything connected to the suspension might not be covered now such as bearings/track rod ends, etc. Anything you fit non-standard is likely to lead to extra wear & tear of items attached to it (In Skoda's opinion)

I kind of like these, but they look so much better in the pic above posted by Mil. Those wheels really need the car to be lower.

I agree with Jasons comments above regarding warranty. Apart for the suspension, all the other stuff should still be covered. Some dealers are better than others, so some may cover everything still except for the springs.

I agree with most of the comments, I don't like those wheels on a red car, on a black furby maybe, but with lowering it will look a hell of a lot better !

Don't like em. Makes it look like a matchbox car!

Black does seem to spoil a red would prefer a white wheel, like OZ super ts

It's strange, i didn't like it in the first pic but the photo-shopped lowered pic it looked cool. And as it was mentioned earlier, the tyre goo needs cleaning off for a better look!!!

Not my cup of tea either, sorry

i like the style of the wheels, i just dont think it suits the car, im not a big black alloy lover though,
