Taxing a new car that is already taxed

Featured Replies

So I'm picking up a new car on Friday hopefully but the system says its already taxed. With the new rules I think that I need to tax it when I buy it. Do I have to go to the post office with the v5 as I wanted to pay monthly? Or is there an option online to say I'm the new owner, here's my details etc.?

Edit:- seems I can do it with the new keeper supplement online.

Well..I was going for luxobarge. Instead bought a Daihatsu Copen. Well nearly have...hopefully will have it Friday if it all looks good.

Means I'm keeping the S-Max and can afford to put it right and have a savings pot for when it breaks. And when its broken I'll just drive the Copen.

Coz they're nearly exactly the same arn't they :giggle:

I have an old workmate that had a Suzuki Cappuchino about 14yr ago. He still thinks it was the best car he ever had.

Very nice, keep looking at Copen's on autotrader, always liked them along with the cappuccino and Honda Beat.
