Where to remap?

Featured Replies

I'm interested in getting my Octavia vRS diesel remapped, been doing research and just looking for people's opinions.

I live in Hinckley (Leics) so have R-Tech on my doorstep, i also frequently visit Northampton so REVO is also on the cards.

Has anyone got experience of either? where would people recommend?

I'm currently only looking to map to stage 1, so around 200bhp. I travel around 80 miles per day, would i need any extra work as i cant see dpf clogging up?

the car is FL with around 80k on clock

R-tec are mento be the masters of vag cats

Custom remaps for every car and have owned a golf stage 2 R-tec and the power delivery was amazing, haven't heard anything bad about them till this day

Id definately go r-tech. I own a golf that is custom mapped by them and its fantastic!! Made even better by brilliant customer service...would not even consider anywhere else tbh

i have had 6 or more cars done by will at p-torque , he is awesome , just had my vrs done 212 bhp and 345 ft lb and it is awesome and so smooth

212 from a what?

cr170 dsg fl vrs

cr170 dsg fl vrs

Really, just with a remap, no other mods?

yes mate , standard stage 1 , next stage if you want more is a dpf delete which should realise around 220 - 225 bhp mark but think torque fiqure would be around the same without having dsg mapped , believe stand dsg is good for 250 ft lb so thats why he kept it to 245 ft lb

Mine is manual, should have stated that. Isn't 212 borderline risky in a stock engine?

200ish is pretty much the going rate, which is why I was surprised at 212

212 is making me think I'll be needing a new clutch before end of this year

my car was making 183 bhp stand , he reckons most are around the 180 bhp mark

he has done 6 of my cars and some family members also and no one has ever needed to change the clutch

Rtech all the way....Jedi's of the vag range

try shark performance not too far up the road in mansfield and get really good reviews on most forums

I'm in Hinckley too, and R-Tech have a good reputation locally.

Talk to j0hn a member on here who has his MK2 running their BBT kit and mapping.

Thanks, Will have to contact him. Does anyone know if I'll have to have the dpf removed? I'm a little against this as I'm not a fan of cars firing black smoke out

Northampton Motorsports are excellent revo agents.

Mine was done there. Turned it off for warranty work a couple of times foc.

Highly recommended

Thanks, I'll consider them though slightly siding with rtech. How do they look on value for money?

Dunno!

I had mine done when there were no discount offers on!

I live in northants and felt revo was the way to go on the tsi so Northampton Motorsports was the natural choice.

I think R-Tech might be a non-starter

as they don't appear to map the 2.0 CR diesel

where did you find this info?

I looked at the list on the R-Tech website

http://www.r-techpower.co.uk/r-tech-vw-remap.htm

Might be worth checking direct

will certainly be giving them a call as i find it a little odd if they dont map CR

aside from this, how are people finding the maps? this'll be the 1st diesel i have mapped

Hi guys,

Anyone know of a good performance specialist/tuning garage in the Hampshire area? Got an Octavia II 2.0 TFSI VRs and am looking at trusted and reliable places for performance parts and tuning? I have heard a lot about Shark Performance but the nearest place is Wokingham.

Any other recommendations?

Cheers
