Did the Sport always come with a PID?

Featured Replies

Next question - is there any obvious reason not to consider a Mii Sport as well?

I know the seats don't look as colourful but it does come with the 75bhp engine and they seem to be slightly more plentiful on autotrader.

My wife road tested Up! and Citigo and didn't like them, as soon as she sat in the Mii she liked it!

The Mii Sport 5 door was available in country and the dealer added spare wheel and reversing sensors to make the deal. One year on and she's still very happy with it. I don't think the 75bhp engine makes any difference to her as the extra power is only delivered above the revs she uses.................

I sat in a Mii Toca this morning which had nicer seats than the Mii Sport, but not quite as much kit.

To be honest, I think we will end up with whatever comes along at the right price first.

I seem to remember the Mii Sport didn't have the spoiler and front splitter etc that the Citigo Sport has. Remember the 75 ps engine is basically a bit more oomph only at the top end - acceleration and day-to-day driving are identical.

The 0-60 times are different between 60 and 75hp versions, though in the lower half of the rev range I agree you won't see much difference.

There's no difference below 4300 rpm but above that the 75 version pulls hard to over 6200rpm. After having a drive in a 75 it is noticeable. Just depends on how often you venture above 4300 rpm.

I suspect for my GF, the answer would be "Never". I might do otherwise.

PID definitely worth having.. but wether SWMBO is one of those who will use it/remember to unplug it after is another thing.

One thing to take into consideration (against the sport) - not having heated mirrors is a royal PITA at this time of year.. If i was buying again, id probably go for the elegance.

The PID wouldn't get a look in most days, but would definitely be a "nice to have", especially when we are out in it at weekends.
Heated seats on the Elegance is another big plus, and we can always add the Sport stickers.

Apart from the looks I didn't get an elegance because I wanted the sunset glass and sound pack which were standard on the sport. I could live without the heated seats as the engine warms up so quickly.

I'd look at the up/citigo /mii and get the car that has the best price/spec that suits your needs.

Tinted glass isn't that big a deal (though does look better). The extra speakers are more of a bonus with a Sport though I could retrofit if needed - and you get both of these with a Mii Sport.

There isn't one car that has everything that we'd like, apart from a high end Up! probably, and we aren't spending that much.

Yeah, vw do the rock up which has everything but is over 13k!!

I'm excited about the up gt but then it's gonna cost around 15k and that is lunacy.

I spec'd up an elegance to have all the bits I liked on the Monte, but it still didn't have the body kit, gloss interior, nicer seats, black wheels etc, so went with the Monte even though it's only a 60ps. Hopefully I've made the right choice :-s

I'd say so. The heated seats shouldn't matter as the engine warms up dead quickly anyway. The heated mirrors can be a miss and the electric mirrors are meaningless to me as only I drive my car.

The monte / sport looks so much better!

You won't be disappointed as the 60ps is a lively little engine [emoji106]
