i need urgent help/ advice on my octavia 05 mk2. it developed a problem after i changed top mounts of springs of pulling (or almost checking) itself while driving. more so when cornering. i have it in a garage and they are saying it is a big job to try remove/ replace the existing rack and may cause problems with lights on the dash? 

 

is there anything else that i can check first. before they start ripping? i felt having the top mounts gone may have damaged the rack over a period of time? no fault is showing up. 

I would look for a garage that inspired me with a bit more confidence.

Certainly one with access to proper diagnostics so that they can sort out the 'may cause problems with the lights on the dash'
