Second cars......

Featured Replies

I'm quite lucky as I'm being gifted a MGF (160 VVF model!!) thats just over 10 years old and very little miles on the clock - just needs a head gasket possibly although that's not a given yet.....bit of a minter.

I think this will become more of the "fun"/weekend car !

Whats your other car, for fun or maybe convenience or what have you........

Clio dci 80.the gfs car but using to commute while the fabia is injured lol.

Not the quicksst but out corners alot of cars :)

Oh yes it is, if it hasn't had the revised MLS it'll be a horrifying banana.

its definitely on the cards ! Drive carefully once I get it until fixed I think !

mine to :)

Main car is 'our' 62 plate mini cooper diesel, the fab slugs 25k miles per year and is only used mon-fri.

Pulsar GTI-R. Although i'm yet to get on the road i'm very much looking forward to having quite a bit of fun over the summer.

Fuel consumption is pants but the power and noise is orgasmic.

Had the need to replace the starter motor yet? Lmao

My second car is a Triumph Speed Triple, I bet I can beat that Pulsar to 100mph  :sun:

Clio 172 as my second car

3.2 Boxster S and 2.7 Boxster

MX5 MK 2.5 1,8 Phoenix (with LSD)

Kawasaki ZZR1400

mine to :)

Me three!

My Fabia is little more than a garage ornament most of the time, normally i'm driving one of my works Demo's which is either a Toyota Hilux 3.0 Invincible, Lexus IS300h or a Toyota GT86.

Still prefer the way the Fabia drives over anything else i bring home, nothing modern comes close to a small car with a large torque rich engine, and nothing Hybrid will get near the MPG that the Skoda does.

No why do you ask??

Pain of a job. Usually engine out.

I have recently got a van as a daily to give my Fabia a rest :)

Going from 240hp to 82 is a big step :(

That's a bummer. Well I hope that doesn't happen. Gearbox is the weak point though, although most of it can be put down too, big power or unsympathetic driving.

I like that very clean and tidy example. Bet it goes well, a proper pocket rocket.

I have a feeling the mg will need the head gasket doing.

They are notoriouse for it. So glad I got a mk1 Octavia vRS over a new MG back when I was looking.

My fabia vRS is the daily and I have now got another e39 as as a bit of a project/summer cruiser. 4.9l V8 noise is deadly at any rpm.

Yeh it goes well mate, did 147bhp on the rollers, not a lot but when you think it's sub 800kg it's a pretty good power to weight ratio! So much fun too drive as well
