Hello

 

Can someone please help to confirm how far the the electric blind retracts on the panoramic roof, i.e. does it go all the way back and into the roof until just the silver end strip is showing or does about 4-5in of blind still stick out? 

 

I've recently had my Octavia back after the panoramic roof was replaced due to it being warped and letting water in which filled up the footwells. All seems to be watertight now but can't remember if the blind used to retract completely in to the roof or not. Now fully retracted it leaves some sticking out which means that the glass roof above the back seats is partially hidden which looks wrong to me.

 

I could do with checking this before I go and give the car back to the dealer to sort out and look like a **** if it's actually not supposed to fully retract!

Thanks Greg R, loads of pictures in there and shows that I'm not going mad, it does fully retract!

Does indeed go all the way back. Discovered today that if the blind is closed and you tilt the roof it opens the blind a bit - also you can't fully close the blind when the roof is open which of course is sensible!

I can still see the silver trim strip on mine, by about 2/3rd of the width of the strip. All of the fabric retracts though.

Booked in for Friday, they'll know what a hassle it is for me to make another 60 mile round trip to get this sorted.

 

There is still a good few inches of fabric showing when it's fully retracted and I don't think the silver trim goes quite far enough forward when it's closed either.
