After a busy week and fa too many beers at Xmas parties;

a quiet day today and some detailing duties on the Z4.

Interior leather given a wipe down..... protection was topped up.

Opted for Wowo's Contact 121 wax.... very nice.... easy to use...

Very nice Ste. The wax looks to suit the colour! Supposed to be a decent beader too. Keep us updated pal!

Cheers Neil....

Yeah - just been talking with a couple of Wowo fanboys on the FB group.

Infact ended up chatting with the owner/operator Fraser....

...by all accounts.... i wont be disappointed when the beads come along!

Nice to have you back online Neil - i know you have been busy!!!

Cracking little detail there and i'm sure that BSD top-up will work wonders

Nice to get it sorted for a little while, thanks buddy. That was two weeks worth of dirt, so it won't be clean for that long. Still, looks clean on the drive at the moment! BSD will do the job for sure.

Cleaned my girlfriend's Kia Picanto this afternoon. No before shots but it was pretty bad! Sprayed with Powermaxed TFR, then foamed with BH Autofoam, and 2BM wash with Meguiar's Gold Class. Finished with Gyeon Wetcoat. Glass cleaned with Gtechniq G6 and windscreen got a coat of Angelwax H2GO.

Bet she's well chuffed with that, top result! Few extra brownie points before Christmas...... upstairs for thinking...!

Looking great Dan - nice gloss levels on that paint!!!

Gave the beast a quick freshen up this morning before the heavens opened, she was in desperate need of it!!!!!

Usual mix of BH autofoam, surfex HD and unbranded fallout remover doing its thing. Quite a lot of tar spots to remove, easily taken care of by AS Tardis prior to another rinse and a layer of BSD.

All alloys needed little hands on given recent deep clean n deal with Sonax PNS and BSD.

Gave the vRS a good clean up today after 3-4 weeks of it looking really dirty.

Quick snow foam & wash, dried & waxed using R222 wax, was just a quick one today as really pushed for time but wanted some form of protection on the paintwork.

Hows it going? I'm Martin, just joined the forum yesterday.

Your carlooks tremendous. Have you had the paint corrected at some point or is it as it left the factory?

Also, the green and red on your grill, is that one of the kits you can buy for about a fiver? Been considering picking one up.

Welcome to Briskoda:)

Thanks for the nice comments  my car is the original paintwork from the factory, it's actually in very good condition if I'm honest, I did purchase a DA polisher in November this year with the intentions to make the paint a little better & to make it easier to apply polish but waiting for the better weather.

As regards the grille, I spray painted it at the beginning of this year, i did have it vinyl wrapped but the colour faded from the sun so I ended up spray painting the grille red & green, I haven't seen them kits but the paint has holded up well. ;)

That will come up a treat then after a machine polish. I'm considering one myself, I've not long picked up a black magic estate so trying to keep that clean is keeping me busy just now! It's my first black car and a pain to keep on top of but it comes up great and I'm enjoying picking up detailing tips from the forums.

Winter prep completed on this Mazda CX-5 today, probably the coldest start of the year. With a slight change of technique and a little persistence it came up well and the BH DSW went on n buffed off surprisingly easy.

So, I forced myself out today. Spent about 3 hours just cleaning it. It was that dirty...

No polish or sealant or anything applied, as I get too sore and achey after the cleaning process. Maybe tomorrow I'll clay it and polish a panel or two if I have time.

Applied som Rain-X to the windscreen, but unless I've applied it wrong, I'm not impressed.  The make the windows streaky when the wipers are applied with screen wash.

Looking good, although I've now got a stiff neck looking at them. :D

Gave the car a quick once over today (just shampoo and dry) before driving over to Bruges for the new year - seems the LSP I applied before winter is holding up alright.

Just when I thought I couldn't want a mk1 any more than I already do!

And I was sure I wanted a black one until I saw this as well.

The rainx shouldn't steak or smear when the wipers are activated. What did you do to prep the glass?

Yes, rather annoying with the photos appearing like that! How does one adjust the orientation?

Looking good there buddy - R222.... one of the best waxes for the money!

Lovely looking car Jamie - hope you have a good trip!

100% agree with you there samuir ;) R222 wax is very easy to use, it spreads out well easy & even easier to buff off, I was doing a panel at a time but definitely a outstanding wax to have in the collection, I know it probably won't last as long in the winter as maybe in the summer? but as long as I can get 2 months out of it & in-between them 2 months using a quick detailer wax spray, this should then see me through till end of February (hopefully) as I will be ready to start using my DA & prep the vRS properly  B)

Give it a good clean today as it was minging, Traffic film remover, snow foamed, sonax shampoed , and a coat of powermaxed gingerbread 2469190C-180D-4E89-B1C2-7B70842D0976.jpg022393C3-0B62-4B05-AD30-4AB12E8DBE50.jpg

Looks stunning as per usual

Managed to get my dad's pride & joy gleaming today.

The vRS is wearing a coat of BH double speed & Autoperfection Evolve. So a QD topper was all that was needed today. Sonax BSD on wheels, trims & tyres dressed with EZ Slick.

Looking great there Karl - top job mate!

I'm sure your Dad is well chuffed with that
