REVO software

Featured Replies

So the question remains because the OP was about REVO and he has a CTHE Engine car from 2014.

Has nobody any experience of Stage 1 Mapping on a CTHE ECU. ?

  • Mine is Revo stage 1 and yes I have had miss fire issues once and was cured with new plugs/coil packs but car runs well it was 211 at last week's RR session and I get reasonable mpg so can't complain.

  • Enjoy your new car. There are only around 3,000 Mk2 vRS in the UK, and hopefully all are now sorted due to the fantastic Customer Service from Skoda UK.   vxh26 does not have a Twincharger as far a

George, as I wrote, no point in wasting your time replying to trolls, you just feeding them this way I am afraid. This kind of vermin only lives when fed the attention from others, without it withers away and dies :). I tend to put them on the ignore list so I am spared reading the effluent spewed by them :)

Back to this topic. I had the car on rolling road today and I must say that the results were very impressive. So impressive I nearly want to call BS on it myself.

This rolling road had very good feedback on accuracy on many forums and clubs. They build rally cars. And this is why I decided to go there.

So this is a CAVE unit with the current Revo stage 1. No other mods to the car. Using V-power.

213 hp

315 Nm

Pretty aggressive as well as you can see from the attached sheet. We did 2 consistent runs, second one 3hp lower on results of course, due to heat.

Unfortunately I don't have a sheet for the stock car to compare if it was on the powerful side already.

Which Spark Plugs do you run with, and have you changed them when you had the REVO Remap done.

What were the plugs like you took out, all 4 in good condition?

NGK 7's went in when it was mapped. You can see my plugs on this threads 2nd page. They were OK.

I didn't want to put excessive load on the gearbox/clutch and APR seemed to do that by pulling 340nm of torque (these are marketing figures of course).

Revo in perf mode 1 should be giving around 200bhp and 270nm which to me seems good in terms of durability.

That's significantly higher than quoted figures. Either an optimistic dyno or REVO are just claiming ****! Although it usually happens the other way round  :D

That's why I was glad I decided to go for before and after runs on the same dyno, under the same conditions. No matter the absolute values, you can see exactly how much you got in return for every buck you paid compared to what you had as stock. Nice graph anyway.

Yes, and like you quoted, I ended up in the exact gearbox killer situation I wanted to avoid, as it seems :D

Revo actually claims max 218 hp and 292 Nm in stage 1. Depending on performance mode, gas etc.

I had a play on the performance settings since mapping it though.

I should have done before and after, but as it's a 70km round trip I skipped.

The DQ200 is perfectly fine with 220bhp and the torque from the likes of a REVO Stage 1 map.

Doesn't the 7speed dsg suffer overheating issues in standard form?

No,

but some have suffered internal corrosion & some failures in the form that VW build them and used Synthetic Oil,

& then some Clutch Pack failures due to poor Parts Control & Quality & Software issues.

World Wide Recall excluding Mainland Europe & UK,

yet NZ can have similar climatic conditions and they get a proper Service Campaign which is near enough a recall.

..................

There are always others that can do Fixes & Upgrades on Systems that the Volkswagen Group can or will

not make work properly.
