So I have the dilemma of 'which colour???'

 

I have ordered my Octavia VRS which is a good few weeks away from being built and as I understand it, I will still have the opportunity to change the colour as it is the 'build time' that has been booked.

 

The dilemma is, blue or white?  I've found very few images of the moon white on tinternet and wondered if anybody on here has an Octavia VRS in this colour who would be able to post some photos up here?

My 1.4 is moon white and I don't have pictures, but it is simply white. Just think plain pure white!

Go to Google and put in:

Then click on images. There is a resonably good selection.

 

I'm a fan of the Moon White (even though my car is Race Blue and an Elegance).

 

With the Black Pack it looks great in any colour. Also a huge fan of the Metallic Green option in the vRS.

Moon White is tricky to view from web pictures, it comes into its own when viewed 'in the flesh' on a bright, sunny day.

I like it, very smart...when clean.

From any more than a few inches away I couldn't distinguish much of a difference between the Moon White Metallic and Candy White Solid paint finishes when I was in the showroom!

I saw a standard octavia in moon white at the dealer, compared to the candy white it had only what i can describe as blueish tint to it? for me it was a definate no - I think the advise from above is correct you need to see it in the flesh for yourself.

For me, only if you have money to spare, and you have already selected all other options you need, otherwise its not worth it.

Having seen it in the flesh and that it looks like mother of pearl Ive decided its definitely not for me and would spec Candy any day of the week..particularly given the saving.

I specced it last Feb when there were none around to look at, as it was a new white. It looks great in the sunlight, but when dull I would describe it as a grey white. Best thing to do is pop down your nearest dealer and look at one in the flesh. Chances are they will have cars in all 3 shades of white. As already said, probably not worth the extra £550 over candy or laser white.

I only got it (last October) because it was the only colour they could get in time. I wanted Corrida Red. However it has worked out okay for me.

Thanks guys - I can't believe how indecisive I am being over the colour of the thing!

As said above, my understanding is that I have until a week or so before the build to change my mind. Anybody else aware this is the case?

Mines a black un, with black pack and totally love it when it's clean - but defo worst colour when dirty and shows scratches hence I end up cleaning all the time. Not sure if I'd go for it again or not.

Rallye green with black pack makes it stand out,race blue was the colour to have in 2006 when it was a vrs only colour, had its day now imo

I just cleaned and polished my Moon White estate. Sun went down before I finished, but I'll try and get some decent pics tomorrow if the weather is decent.

Mine seems to clean so easily. Got covered in that Sahara muck rain last night and this morning I just hosed it all off and it looked like a fresh respray job.

I reckon its got some kind of magic coating but I didn't order any such thing when I bought it.
