Boot liner for Citigo when using the Up! raised boot floor mod.

Featured Replies

Apparently VW make a boot liner to for the up which is part 1S0 061 160 A  This seems to be for the 'variable' boot floor in the Up!.  Has anyone tried this in the Citigo with the Up! raised boot floor?

Or has anyone found a boot liner to fit once this modification is made to the Citigo?

Cheers,

JP

I just cut my Skoda boot mat down to fit,And it's probably the same as the up one just cheaper[emoji4]

You did a good job on that.

Nice job exactly how i did mine but since I sold mat and boot floor I could not post pictures.

Excuse the silly question but is that on top of the floor carpet or just on the metal floor and wheel well?

The mat fits over carpet and boot floor and by the look of the photo tweenster has matched the carpet in wheel arch to cut down noise.

The variable boot floor really is a good addition to the Citigo the only reason I sold mine was I've sold the Citigo .[emoji20]

I made my own boot liner with carpet purchased from Harrison's trims. It was was a bit fiddly but it looks great and is a vast improvement on the painted metal.

I've also put a load of sound deadening material in the wheel well, sound insulating material under the carpet and a piece of sound insulating foam on top of the spare wheel. I can't say I notice the difference but you probably would if you stepped directly from my car into one without this sound insulation.

hi citigirl,    did you find it that difficult, the reason i am asking i have also been looking at boot type liner carpet from harrison trim myself, did you cut around the grey plastic trim or did you manage to slide up under the trim, also did you glue it in place, wonder if you have any pics of your attempt,to get the carpet that tweenster and hyphons used were quite expensive for what it is dont you think. Yes, it is very expensive, but your talking to the guy that's probably spent over £100 in absolute useless crap for the car :D

You said it [emoji6]

Hi David, so do you think these side carpet bits are over the top for what they are?,and what do you consider out of the additional bits to be CRAP,my elegance cost over ten grand and I consider it a good purchase and most people on this forum seem of the same opinion, but skoda does penny pinch, these boot liners should have been a standard fitment even if they extended the plastic trim down to the boot floor and not leave bare bloody metal,so I will try the Harrison trim route and make my own.

. Hi citigirl was the Harrison,s trim a good match and was it easy enough to apply ,I am about to order the charcoal shade have you any pics on the outcome of the installation.

I chose anthracite colour carpet which is a perfect match. I did shape the carpet but squeezed it under the plastic bits. I unscrewed the plastic to help move the carpet under the plastic and I used two plastic cake spatulas to help move the carpet. The second side was easier than the first. I also did the back wall of the boot.

I believe that's called "Detailing"......  :D

Got one for mine now, the rubber floor fits after its trimmed at the edges. I made doubly sure I was getting the right part with the VW dealer guys (and there was an Up in the showroom with the variable floor) as there are the 2 rubber floors, one for the boot and one for the variable boot shelf, the shelf part is too small for the boot floor, and I could see that the part for the floor would fit once it was cut. These are the only 2 parts, checked by 2 VW parts guys, there's no rubber floor specifically for the variable boot floor.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but a couple of questions.....

Is that the official bootliner from VAG (The one that is foam/polystyrene rather than rubber)???

And also how are people finding it stands up to everyday use?

The Mrs picks up her citigo this week and I'm wondering whether to order the official one or a third party rubber one etc.....

mine came with that rubber mat, like others I cut mine down to fit the variable boot floor. Seems ok. My Mrs recently used the Citigo to take herself and three kids to Wales, she was shocked how much she could actually fit into the boot!

Isn't the mat a foam material though rather than rubber like the mats in the other models?

Yeah you are correct it's foam

Yeah you are correct it's foam

How is it standing up to everyday use Mike?

Any issues with it? And is it waterproof if ever something is spilled onto it?

In complete honesty my Citigo has lived an easy life so I'm not sure how much abuse the liner would take. It should be waterproof.

Seems to be the same sort of material as those Crocs shoes - lightweight, waterproof and relatively hard-wearing against abrasion but might be vulnerable to cuts/punctures
