Its aimed to make the racing more about driver skill as most cars on circuit will be the same so tuning and adjusting comes into play

Currently on 85%downloaded and should be able to play on Wednesday

Can't wait

The official car list has been released, not a bad selection of cars to be honest. Not as many as other games, but each one looks and sounds beautiful according to the videos I've watched.

I am certain that DLC will be released with new cars appearing in the coming months/years. I personally would like to see more touring cars, from the mad S2000 tin-tops from the 90's-00's to the current NGTC cars.

It's not so much the number of cars I'm bothered about but whether they have cars I'm wanting to race, some of the ones that have huge car counts actually have less cars of interest than games with a much smaller roster.  I will admit I think that's an impressive selection of cars with the Audi LMP1, the Mclaren GT's, the Lancer Evo, the Clio Cup and the SLS AMG which is most of the cars I'd be interested in.

Why would you be able to play on Wednesday if you bought it from the xbox store it wont allow you to play until friday

I am intrigued and hoping it's the game that makes me buy a PS4. But then again my PC is pretty powerful and I tried the Raceroom Demo on the weekend and my God does it sound good!. BMW with a Judd V8 sounds incredible!

If you have a decent pc then buy the pc version over the ps4. It will look better and perform better

Ahh no worries I see the xbox store has it launching on the 7th retail launches on the 8th. All my pre orders arrive on launch day now instead of the day before

Yeah i'm hoping my copy that I've had on pre-order from Amazon (Forever) will arrive on Thursday. I may even skip voting lol!

I've been tempted by this, on and off. I've resisted any new games for the last 18months. 'Stuck' on the ps3 as I can't see the 4 being a big enough upgrade. But then I'm dammed if I'm paying full whack for a ps3 title. Might skip tracks onto the one, skipped form 360 to the ps3 when times were better.

 

All that aside, sharing race results cross platform via screenies is great. Still feasible to hook up on other 'voice' channels etc. Enjoy it either way, it looks like it will grow into a great title.

 

re go carts around the ring, would be mad Used to do <100hp in grand turismo... took a while, some exceptional moments when you forgot you had to actually lift.

Colin - I don't think you'd be disappointed with the PS4, like you I was sceptical, but the differences are quite obvious when you start playing on one!

Much better way of 'racing' online with other players. I just get sick of getting pushed off the track by muppets, or getting smashed to pieces at the obligatory first corner pile up.

 

Time trials are the way forward!

Not sure if there is a way if knowing if its a clean lap like forza gave you a triangle if you had ventured off road

Most of the grass on forza was like quick sand

Also find on forza a few great laps then once I go off the track once I may as well have lawn mower blades fitted as i m on the grass every corner after that

The mojo "I'm going to beat Farina" bubble is burst once you're off.

I've just bought it for PC purely because I can make my PS3 controller and my Driving Force GT Wheel will work with it, which it won't with PS4.

4 hours to go for those who preloaded digi versions
