I'm after some wheel trims to stick on my MK1 Fabia cos I'm not so keen on steelies (running on steelies makes the car look like it's nicked to my eyes!)

However, I really hate the generic, tacky Halfrauds ones or the cheap tat you get on ebay with the plastic chrome effect fake nut covers and whatever, and would really prefer to get either some actual skoda ones or some with skoda badges on them.

 

I've looked on ebay and there's one full set, but it's a dodgy photoshopped image so I'm a little suspicious of them - plus a few people trying to flog off a single trim at like a tenner plus £5 postage - and frankly I don't fancy paying £60 for a full set of second hand trims! I also enquired at a local scrappy but the bloke said as a rule they don't really take any care when taking the trims off so they tend to just bin them once they're off.

 

Anyone know where I could get some decent ones? Not bothered if they're second hand as long as they're not scuffed to bits.

 

 

 

Alternatively, did any of the MK1s with 14 inch wheels ever come with alloys from new, and if so what were they called? My estate would probably look ridiculous on VRS wheels or aftermarket rims but some standard ones might still be an improvement over stock.

In a similar situation myself, don't like the cheap looking ones you can get anywhere. I struggled to find the genuine Skoda trims at a decent price so I've ordered some aftermarket ones that look the same...I will be getting the 14" Elegance alloys like the ones link above though. Only problem is I'll need 185 tyres rather than 165.

Ah never thought of that, I haven't driven another car with different tyres in well over a year so I don't know any better

Not sure. I have the standard 14" alloys on mine. With 185 60 14 tyres.

Why not do a search on ebay for fabias for breaking. Ive even found some recycling centres actually keep things like alloys to make little bit of profit on side. Might be worth a go
