Fabia Vrs PAS angle sensor replacement guide- intermittent PAS/flickering lights/battery issue

Featured Replies

Hello Briskoda people,

This is my first post and would appreciate some opinions on an issue i'm having with my 07 Fabia vrs (50,000m).

Shorty after replacing the battery back last November I've had intermittent PAS failure first thing in the morning (fixed by restarting the car), flickering lights (especially during slow maneuvers), the ECU resetting in the night (like the battery has been disconnected) and very occasionally the triple beep (without warning lights).

As the problem is so intermittent the garages can't seem pick up a fault. It's not as much of an issue now because of the warmer weather (i assume) rather than a few months ago but it would still be great to get it sorted! Anyway, after reading various posts I've kind of narrowed it down to being either the PAS angle sensor being faulty or the fact that I've gone from a Exide Premium battery to a more budget (Halford) and lower CCA battery. The car is running the smaller stock 075 with 550cca battery as it is a later vrs.

My question is whether people would agree that it is most likely the PAS angle sensor/battery issue?

Other than that the car is awesome!

Far more likely to be the PAS pump than the sensor.
