  • Only problem I see with this method is you don’t know what will happen to the badge in a deployment situation as part of the structure has been removed. Best way is to fit the OEM cover instead.

  • The point is you don’t want to modify the cover at all just in case something goes wrong when it rips open.

  • Sorry for the delayed reply.   I rebadged the whole car, just like you, but got into SERIOUS problems with the steering wheel logo.  Essentially, it's bound to the airbag cover with two metal tongue

That would be good of you, thanks

Hi, Yes the one on the lift side is from at 2006 Octavia. Others use this airbag to. fx. fabia Around same year. The one on the right os from af Faceliftet Octavia, also used i fabia an Superb pre facelift.

Some friend of mine have made a little guide. It is in Danish. (sorry).. But you get it all from the pictures.

It involves some drilling af gluing. The one on th left it clerly the easiyst to change. And it is because that one is bending ind instead og out lige the facelift one.

(This guide is all on your own. And at your own risk) ;)

And where do I buy an OEM cover with the new logo? Only the Citigo got this one right? But it is without the chrome trim. Plus cars-equipment sells modified covers and modified emblems. I found an emblem for like €15,- and could modify it without modifying the cover too much. I don't want to drill a hole that large. :D

The cover I bought was brand new from the manufacturer of the bag unit at the above link.
