Performance Exhaust for Superb2 - links to companies here

Recommended Posts

I'm after a performance upgrade to my car to release a few HP but also to get a better sound from the gorgeous 3.6.

I thought I'd start a thread where a list of possible European (or further afield?) suppliers could be found.

Here are a few I know of....anyone else know of suppliers then please post away!

No offence to the op (original poster) but I am so pleased that there is no interest in this amongst the superb cliental.

It was depressing enough when someone wanted to de badge one. I guess as they age they will become more popular (as cheaper) to the de badge, sub woofer, loud exhaust type of customer.

Whatever happened to whip aerials and go fast stripes?

Two and a half years on now :blush

No offence taken. I purchased the car with some performance modifications from new (Embrach for Skoda Suisse - and as used by the Gendarme equipped cars here - as per the signature on my posts - like ABT, AMG or 'M' tuning arms of other brands) and simply want to upgrade the exhaust for more HP, longer life (current one getting rusty around the hangers...it's the salt on roads here that kills them) and better sound sound quality, IMHO.

I'm not a 'boy racer' but enjoy driving a honed petrol engined estate car from a marque other than Audi or BMW. My 1995 Lotus/Caterham 7 gives me my real 'boy racer' thrills but it does have a noisy and throaty Ford xflow engine on twin 40 carbs (no tatty sound system or 'sub woofer' - whatever that is - , no whiplash aerial or lettered windscreen though...oh, and no mud flaps - it has clamshell wings :D )

I feel exactly the same (depressing) when I see folk purchasing/driving diesel cars - depressing because of the pollutants and excessive service costs/recycling costs compared to a petrol but I hold my tongue and respect the personal choices others make (economy reasons, slipper and pipe point in life etc. :tongueout: ).

So, all good, and yes, still not purchased the upgraded exhaust yet - the money went towards a used 4wd Saab 9-7x 5.3 V8 hemi powered SUV (not sold in the UK) for the good lady which has proved to be great value and fun in the snow...it's actually more economical than the Skoda on a long run (the engine cuts down to 4 cylinders on the motorways which is clever) and it makes a lovely V8 burble via the standard exhaust too... ;)

I'm still interested in getting a performance exhaust for the Superb though as I do consider myself Superb clientele.... 'suits you sir, suits you...' etc :D

You could check my video (the public link, video quality bad, audio is ok, the better quality is only for my FB and real friends) ... I have a performance exhaust on mine, done by one of our local tuning companies ... the sound is very throaty, and it gets released above 2000 RPMs ... of course, the best sound comes out from it while doing full-throttle acceleration and the gears change :D
