L+K Brown Leather

Featured Replies

Is it REALLY that bad chaps? I have just over two years left on my S II before its paid off and when it is I will be getting a Superb L+K estate. The light leather is out of the question due to my job (taxi driver) so it looks like it has to be brown. The problem is finding one to look at in the flesh as it were. I'm sitting in my local dealership waiting for my car as I type this but they have none in stock.

Its personal taste really and some may like it.  Personally I'm not a fan but I can see how some might consider it classy - well its different anyway so it will certainly be distinctive.  They are rare enough alright but you're doing the right thing looking for one in the flesh as it does look different up close compared to images you will find on the net

L&K  models should offer extra choices, Fxxxxxx heck they charge enough for them.

The 2 interior options yes just  TWO is really crud, there are other better interior colour options offered from other manufactures, maybe my next car will not be a skoda.

I opted for the darker interior, brownish but I had to compromise for a silver body (saloon) as that was all that was on the market when I was shopping, hell I test drove the petrol blue estate, the exterior colour is excellent but it had the light leather stuff inside.

Skoda.please note "we have a choice"

Personally, I'm not a fan of the brown leather either. It does seem odd there aren't additional colours, but there we are....

I like the brown interior, looks good with Cappucinno Biege..

I like the brown leather interior with my metallic metal grey paint.

I see from your profile you are South East Wales, Danny. I'm guessing Gwent or possibly Cardiff area? I'm just outside Bridgend. I'd love to get a look at the interior in the flesh if I'm in your area.

how about Gloucestershire?

I have no idea where you are as you have not put an area?

I'm in South Wales, just outside Bridgend. I get work up to Gloustershire Royal hospital now and again, so next time I am given a job up there I will drop you a message to see if you are about.

L&K brown.    It's Ok.

Pictures in my opinion never do the colour any justice.

I agree, that's why I'm keen to see one in the flesh.

Some photos in the recent gallery images, was top of this page forums, nice brown steering wheel.

I'd love a brown interior with my white car......

(Or oxblood red leather and white) ;)

no problem..

the brown looks great in real life but terrible in photos. cant explain why..

The real problem is the quality being so poor. That would apply to all skoda leather I guess or more importantly the leatherette.

Mine has a hole in the upper bolster after 23k miles.

Too high to be my belt causing it.

I quite like the idea of brown because it breaks up what would be an otherwise very dark interior. The light interior is a non starter, so I guess I just hope the brown will be as nice as i imagine.

That is the same brown that the Yeti L&K has, i would say its closer to a medium dark chocolate, & if you are using as a taxi, should be easy to clean with Leather wipes.

If you want to see this colour in the flesh, ask around if a dealer has the L&K Yeti to give you a real world idea.

The minute you say you have brown leather to most people the immediate thought of Austin Allegro brown springs to mind & you see scrunched up faces, It really is no where near that.

In my opinion Brown is a much better option than Ivory (dog and 2 young grand kids) but I would still have preferred plain Black. I'm waiting for a L&K to be delivered and when the dealer checked what stocks were left there were loads of Ivory but very few Brown.

Unfortunately on the Superb they also thought it was a good idea to have a brown steering wheel and dash panels... these are what would be the deal breaker for me, the brown leather in our L&K Yeti’s are just about acceptable IMO.

but was that based on the infamous photo of same?

again, in the flesh it looks good.

No I have seen a few in the flesh, the steering wheel is the real killer for me, but granted that could be changed for a couple of hundred quid (I went from a 4 spoke to a 3 spoke vRS wheel and it cost me next to nothing by the time I sold my as new wheel)

Mine arrived at the dealer yesterday and I've just been for a look. To be honest the combination Metal Grey and brown leather would not have been my first choice. But seeing it in real life it look far better than expected, probably the best colour combination I've seen. I'll get some pictures up when the car is in my hands and I'll correct the white balance it Photoshop so it should be close to the true colour.  Metal Grey is strange, under some light it looks grey and other times it looks green, it dose look much better on a larger car though

Same colour combination as mine although it was called metallic grey three years ago.
