  • Put the wet weather kit on and went and did my Advanced Test.... and passed

  • You're right, I've just undone one and the lip on the pipe extrudes out of the block so it's pressing against that.

  • Finished! That's 2016 done.

Picked it up at the NEC when the bike show was on. PowerBronze n £15. Thought it was rude not to tbh.

Gonna use Stixall to put it on. Thats what ive used in the past n its been good. Some plumbers stick basins to the wall with it n it never moves, proper solid stuff.

Cant be doing with any self tappers. Looks dog **** imo :D.

Declared it safe to ride, insured it and went out for 50 miles of remembering how to ride the bloody things.

Returned cold and happy with a few days shopping under the seat  :D

Very true, I can't be bothered with dodgy HID conversions as they aren't really designed for reflector headlights so it will be a change of bulbs when I can get motivated, its chucking it down here today! :(

i pt NB extremes in my mk2 Octy and there is a noticable difference. Not as good as LEDs or xenon but better than boggo standard IMO

spent a small fortune on a straight forward service...

regular service

full brake caliper strip/service

new pads

new spark plugs

new steering head bearing

a few other little jobs

ouch! but needing doing

Just the front fairing to sort and it will be immaculate for it's age

I rode mine ;)

quite a big achievement i heard....

Yes, getting it off the centre stand and keeping it upright is a major achievement for me :peek:

I took it out of the garage and had a good old blast!

Feeling better now.

I was going to fit the PDoiler, but SWMBO had other ideas. Tesco it was then. :(

Assuming you meant the bike and being you're so close to Wales it would have been rude not to :D

How's the riding course going Ade?

I passed with a F1rst on Thursday thanks, it didn't chuck it down until I was on my way home either which was a plus as the forecast wasn't good but during the test it remained dry and the roads were not too bad in places, but a bit wet and slippery in others. It was a bit of a nerve racking experience for an old duffer like me having a serving Police motorcyclist up my chuff watching my every move but to be fair to him he was a really decent bloke and it's all over now as the Stones would say

Thanks, yes I am rather pleased! The continual evaluation and improvement cycle is all part of the process and doesn't stop just because I've passed but I'm a much better rider than I was 6 months ago. The challenge now is to not become complacent and to keep improving ;)

Cheeky git. Your's is hibernating in the garage so there's no chance of you dropping yours. When are you going to sell those panniers as you'll never use them :D

Took both of mine for a run today as the sun was out, mind you it was real brass monkey's when the sun went behind a cloud :D

The Sprint now has 690-miles on it :)

Tried to get my dad out on the scooters today, he wasnt up for it. His Bandit has a flat battery now, not sure how my bike is, I've not started it in weeks.

My uncle had been given a book, 'great motorcycle tours of Europe' so I think I need to start planning a trip in spring.

I plan on starting the Tracer tomorow... its not been started since late Oct, early Nov (too much grit here, its thick with it). Its been on the optimate for a few days occasionally inbetween but i like to start em every few months to get everything moving :).
