What did you do to your bike today?

Featured Replies

Every morning I go into the garage to do my exercise in and effort to win the battle of the bulge. Sat in front of me while I'm doing this is my bike, shiny and begging for me to ride it yet I've not had the chance for the last few weeks. Each morning it teases me some more knowing my work load won't reduce until after Christmas, my bike is an evil temptress.

  • Put the wet weather kit on and went and did my Advanced Test.... and passed

  • You're right, I've just undone one and the lip on the pipe extrudes out of the block so it's pressing against that.

  • Finished! That's 2016 done.

I got black Friday fever, and bought myself a bog seat.

More to follow tomorrow when it lands.

I've SORN'd the bike and thats it till we move.

I took both the Tiger Cub and the BMW out for a pre-freeze/pre-salt ride to make sure everything was ok before hibernation. I took the Cub out first then the Beemer. Although it is fun starting and running a classic bike it is always amazing to me when I go from one to the other and to marvel at the advances made in 50 years. Electric start, heated grips, smooth, powerful engine, brakes that really work, tyres that really grip and so quiet compared with the Cub. Not much difference in economy either. Always tricky when riding one after the other to reset my brain and feet to the gearchange and rear brake swapping sides.

Plugged the chargers in for mine and the lodger. See you in March.

Cleaned the GSA and completed the winter ACF ritual, now ready for winter fun!!!

Connected the nineT to the charger, probably only get the one final ride on her before the end of the year. Planning a group ride to the Bike Shed on the 18th if it's dry...

I'll be removing the fairing, tank and sump guard to give the bike a thorough coating of ACF50. Not sure if the bike has been done before as I bought it second hand earlier this year so I'll be making sure I get it into all the nooks and crannies.

Always good to do!

Whats your method? Warming it up? Gone to the whole hog with a compressor?

Compressor and spray gun. I still warm it first to get a nice mist.

I only have a cheap Stanley compressor but more than up to the job for my requirements. If you haven't got one yet there a great investment.

Ace stuff!

Yeah i've got one mate, wouldn't be without it. Bought a vertical 150l one the other year, on wheels. Proper useful stuff.

Mine gets a spray of fs365 after each wash rather than one application of acf50. Depends on the individual on which is best for you but both do a decent job of fending off the corrosion.

Next time we meet you can do mine then Ade! :D

My memories terrible...I'll probably forget to bring it...

A bit late I know but did my Toy Run on Saturday (Used the Harley), we had 40 or so bikes an outfit (carrying 2 large standard poodles) and 2 cars turn up.

Delivered 250+ presents and £190.00 in cash for a Charity in the London Borough of Newham called Community Links.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable event, I'll post up some photos when I get them from the Newspaper :D

I do an Easter Egg Run for the same charity as well ;)

Fitted my Roadhawk Ride+ camera properly after a test ride showed it's position on the R/H side of the bike would give a clear view. This after taking my INNOVV C3 off after  numerous problems trying to update the software and subsequently failing to get it to work with the ignition.

Washed the Harley as it was minging, no pictures as I wanted to get it back to the garage quickly.

Took the Triumph for a quick blast up the M11 and concur with everyone that said the dipped beam isn't the best in the world, will probably need to look at uprated bulbs either Osram Nightbreaker Extremes or whatever the latest go to bulbs are.

Nightbreakers should make it abit better.

Not a great lot more you can do it theyre reflectors

Very true, I can't be bothered with dodgy HID conversions as they aren't really designed for reflector headlights so it will be a change of bulbs when I can get motivated, its chucking it down here today! :(

Worth putting HID's in if they've already got projector lights.... but if its reflectors then its not worth the hassle n bodging, id agree.

Nice day here tbh, 10 degrees too which is pretty warm :D. Too much salt down still to consider taking the bike out :(.

Going to fit the fender extender instead.
