What did you do to your bike today?

Featured Replies

No tention at all (:

I had a nice ride on mine earlier too (:

3 of us went for a spin across Snake Pass.

5 bikes undercut us at the traffic lights in Glossop though, fine i thought, aslong as they arent slow. Yup. You guessed it. They held us up for a good 15 minutes on the nice but of the road.

Still enjoyed it though (:

  • Put the wet weather kit on and went and did my Advanced Test.... and passed

  • You're right, I've just undone one and the lip on the pipe extrudes out of the block so it's pressing against that.

  • Finished! That's 2016 done.

My local isnt far off then (:

Yeah i had em on my previous SV650s and loved em too (:

I nearly fitted them to mine but thought I'd try the angel gt for a change. Not sure they feel quite as planted in the wet, to be fair they haven't let go yet.

In the dry they are awesome.

Are they much cheaper mate?

Same price dude.

Just had a pair of PR4s fitted to the NC.

From the prices you lot quote, I got a bargain at £215 fully fitted to loose wheels.

Mind you, part of that was due to them losing the front tyre and missing the appointment the first time.

Took it out for a couple of hours today and they felt so much more secure than the Metzelers they replaced. :)

Lots of tyre fitting places are getting wise to this now with people getting tyres from the likes of Tyre Leader, etc. A local tyre fitting company who would once upon a time fit some tyres to loose wheels would charge say £25, they now want £60 so it negates any savings that you may have had buying on line.

Which is fair enough. Buying tyres online then expecting your local retailer to fit them cheap is taking the ****.

Couple of lads I ride with use a mobile fitter who supplies and fits at your home.  He is very competitive on price and I shall certainly consider him when the time comes.

I agree but there clearly is still a big market out there for people doing this as there are so many companies offering tyres delivered to your home.

For the tyre fitting companies charging £60 for 10 minutes work then good on them :-)

I used to use one in Lincolnshire, was a great one man band job. Came and did it while I was at work etc

Wish i could fit my own. Would save a fair bit.

But with feshly powdercoated wheels, i dont dare to try :D

Thought about making a tail tidy for it buy CBA :D

Looked at it... Thinking I really do need to sell it as I can't ride it anymore :(

So what is it?  You never know someone on here might want it.  Shame though not being able to ride.  Any particular reason?

Good work fella - bet you cannot wait !

been a few years since my last epic trip. West Coast of Scotland was the last, Florence before that, black Forrest before that.

Its no issue at all riding abroad. Just remember when you leave petrol stations on 2 way roads. Very easy to forget !!!;

You gonna play games with striple ? I guess that's what he does when the forecast is rain ??

Nope, he doesn't have a games console.

Im hoping itll be good. Only done a 400 mile day on the vfr, so over half as much again should be a test. But given its so different over there, im hoping that will keep me occupied.
