The S2000 is a rather tasty car.

Though *looks about* they can have issues with their oil injectors.

Had to laugh when I was at honda they let a young one replace them and fitted them the wrong way, opps it blew the engine! the customer wasn't overly happy :D

mark.... M17rkj - u have a pm

Like the outside of the ST and the power

Can't stand the cheap interior :thumbdwn:

I think a major grip on reality is called for here.... For both Fabia and Octy owners.. we have 130 and 180 bhp ONLY' date=' we are not really designed as out and out track day cars... In standard form the Octy and Fabia are near enough equal in 0-60 sprints... In gear the Octy will struggle to keep with a

Fabia... The Fabia is better than the Octy in refinement, ( wind noise ) Economy, front lights, low insurance, better stereo,,,

Octy is better with boot space, kit, better brakes, smoother engine...

Both cars are by no means perfect, there are pros and cons for both models

but simply these are not fast cars not by Audi S4/BMW M3 standards

But for the money they are both very good packages, but one is nearly due to be replaced, and the other is long in the tooth and should get a overhaul,

160PD motor, 17 inch alloys, Octy Brakes all round, Leather, climate.....

aha! sense at last!

for the record i am an octavia (ihate the word octy) vrs owner, its not standard (220bhp). i am utterly sick to effing death of all this octavia/fabia slagging off nonsense. boot envy? dump valve envy? WTF? we all buy our skodas for different reasons, i bought my car coz the fabia was too small and i wanted a petrol, thats all. i looked at the fabia vrs but at the time it was out of my price range. which is faster round a track? could'nt give less of a toss if i tried. better mpg? same again. bigger boot? i care because i carry lots of stuff. dump valve? no ta, i already have one as OE. please stop with the pathetic car slagging as its getting so boring and is putting me off coming on here and i dont want that. and i dont care who started it either.

here's hoping

I agree..............I bought an Octavia because I needed the boot space - I nearly bought an estate instead of a hatch - and because I like petrol engines (and I have owned a turbo-diesel). I'd love a Furby vRS for a commute to work car, and if SWMBO ever passes her test, I'll probably buy her one.

My remapped Octy with 216bhp is in my hands no faster than the 180bhp Furbies round Knockhill - that's down partly to driver skill (or lack of it, in my case :o:o ), but also to the sheer grunt of the wee beasties on such a twisty circuit.

All this willy-waving is becoming a PITA

having driven a new shape focus (zetec)' date=' and driven/been a passenger in an octavia (elegance) and from the look we had at a fabia (sport) this afternoon, i [b']really[/b] don't see how the focus interior is "cheap"

Fiesta...

Fiesta...

Fabia.......

is this some sort of trumps game

Well done guys. A hilarious load of boll***ks :rofl::rofl:

Fiesta not focus :D

Learnt to drive in old and new shape focus' have to say the new one is really classy over the old shape one, although same problems with gearbox my instuctor found continued into new model.

Only let down on the new focus was the new "anti-glair" plastic used for dash... not very nice.

Old shape octavia does feel very dated inside, and thing i dont like about the new fabias is the mix of plastics for the two tone effect looks really cheap. I've been lucky, my comfort is ALL black plastic everything matches and feels and looks alot better imho compared to others.

Have to say i really like the fiesta ST... just not keen on the interior... but then thats just me.

FFS Some folk need the sun to scorch them with light to LIGHTEN UP!!!! Jesus H get a fecking sense of humour!!!! The fabia/octavia banter has been going on for years now!!! The "new breed" of Furby vRS owners need to lighten up over their c h a v chariots

c h a v chariots

Trademark infringement

You gotta liven some threads up though. I was in a foul mood yesterday so......:handshke:

 It is only banter over a car. I just like winding folk up and when people bite I get worse :D

Glad we agreed mine is better than yours and you have a small willy then.:D

Well, this has turned into a very interesting thread...

Anyway, here's why I'm seriously considering a Fiesta ST as my next company car:

- big atmo petrol engine with immediate throttle response

- handling over power

- no electronic gizmos

- budget price

That's also considering the fact that I'll be keeping the Octy, so they will form a nice mix of cars. Fabia TDI or vRS would be another turbo, and I hate diesel anyway, while the company is glad to pick up the petrol tabs...

And to proof there is no real alternative, here are some Dutch list prices:

- Fiesta ST: 20k

- Mini Cooper, similarly specced: 25k

- Clio RS: 27k

- Civic Type-R: 30k

- Golf GTI: 32k

There's no denying - it's a bargain!

The only thing still worrying me a bit is that Fix Or Repair Daily thing... :D

Glad we agreed mine is better than yours and you have a small willy then.:D

PMSL - good on you shifty.

i was told u have "man breasts"

No, no, no I bought my vRS when vRS's where still a laughing stock, so my manhood is ok :D So clearly you have the member of a midget :finger::D *Disclaimer Apologies to any midgets I may offend. There may be well endowed midgets but in the specialist art flicks I have seen this was not the case*

But back on track with our Dutch friend. It does look like a good buy

On the face of it this seems to be a call for calm and reason. But if that is so why is it written in such an offensive way?

What we need to remember is to respect other peoples points of view. If a fabia owner wants to state that they feel their car is as good as anything else then they ought to be allowed to do so. We can disagree without being so nasty. Any thread that bores/irritates us can be a thread we can leave alone.
