Disappointing. No 'new' estate, just new old stock cars, plus a new Skoda Superb3 saloon which was rather nice.

A new Superb3 in Business Grey Metallic with Onyx (black) leather in Style trim (one down from L&K). This one has panoramic roof and the foot movement electric boot release. A nice looking car.

I thought it was right up there - the interior was especially impressive from a quality standpoint. Panel fit and door 'clunk' up there with the best in my humble opinion.

Did you notice if the tops of the door cards were hard plastic like the Octy 3 or cushioned like the Superb 2?

I've been really looking forward to this for ages but it looks a bit too octaviaish from those pictures. I was considering ordering but based purely on appearance, the quality of fit, finish and materials doesn't appear significantly better than the Octavia which hasn't really impressed from the start and has aged very badly. I think I need to see it in the flesh. My dealer says it will be in the showrooms soon but he said that about the configurator for it 2 months ago. Does anyone know when we can see one for real please?

If you read the Auto Express report (Superb verses the Passat) they are very complimentary on just those points.

From memory I think they were cushioned but I'll pop back and check as it is not that far from me.....

Front end looks pretty much the same as FL superb 2 to me. Passat door mirrors though.

Hopefully they'll have the cushioned tops, hoping for a few extra bits from the Passat parts bin as the Octy falls a bit short compared to the Golf in the trim department.

I've been on a bit of a mission for a few weeks now.. pestering my local dealer, messaging Skoda UK via Twitter and enquiring through my vehicle management provider.. from all the mixed messages I've been given (shows rather poor pre-launch PR from Skoda UK HQ), my bet is that website configurator will be up & running from 1st July... and cars will start to progressively appear in showrooms towards late July / early August.

I know but they are also very complimentary about the Octavia which is pretty low rent. To be honest, I take what auto express say about Skoda with a big pinch of salt as their long standing love affair seems to tarnish their ability to review them impartially. Time will tell.  I hope they're right because the outgoing model is great. I'll see if the quality is still there, if not I'll see what I can off a Mk II elegance or look elsewhere.

I agree, I reckon the configurator will be back on line tomorrow .

Have to totally agree, mines on over 37k miles and still looks like new inside, have been out in a mates MK7 Golf GTI and got back in mine and definitely didn't feel short changed,...

Mines done 101k and also looks great on the inside, the outside on the other hand................
