It's cheered me up a bit, has this thread.

TBH I was a bit miffed yesterday morning when a car was blocking my exit by lingering on a yellow-crossed box. He was in an Octy, me a Furby. I thought that was taking it a bit too far - literally ;)

Then again I'd hate to have to reverse-park an Octy in a supermarket car park...

You forgot the other 2,000,000 taxi drivers :P:rofl:

I'm really struggling to resist the temptation to comment on Fabia driver's lack of skill... let alone women drivers ;)

I see many threads like this on here but the question I'd like to ask is would Fabia owners defend the Octavia if it was been slated outside of this forum by non-Skoda owners and vice-versa would Octavia owners defend the Fabia?

I would eddy, end of the day there both skodas

I would indeed, and passionately too. I'd love to have an Octy vRS as a weekend car, or indeed if I had a family it would be top of the shopping list. Both the Fabia and Octy are top in their classes, and I don't think there are many members who would disagree.

Ah, but you'd never have to - can just stick the hazard warning lights on and park in the taxi rank... :D

Rob.

steady on boy, one step at a time ;)

Not if I get there first :P

Chris

I'm going to have to book a test drive in an Octavia to see what it's like, I slag them off but I've only ever been a passenger in one. :)

Some of us do - although the Octy is soon to be replaced by an X-Trail as the Octy is crap compared to the Furby ;)

I thought the Fabia and Octy were the only ones in there classes though?

Dont most people have dreams of an Elise ar Caterham as a weekend car?

Dont most people have dreams of an Elise ar Caterham as a weekend car?

Yea but the MPG on those isn't as good as the octy

Let alone the Fabia!

Furby would still have them in the twisties  Or would it end up on it's roof :rubchin: :D

Oh and my car is better :D

Only when me or Xav is driving one.

This thread has given me something to :) :) :) :) about this morning. Weather was rubbish this morning, commute was awful, feel tired, but now this thread has made me smile, the sun is starting to come out, and I'm looking forward to WSM meet on Saturday more than ever.

I love a bit of car banter - I think 99.9% of us know its in jest and we're just winding each other up a bit. ;)

Jason, perhaps if you had an Octavia the commute wouldnt be so awful ?

Hi Guys and Gals

I'm new to this forum... coming from the Audi world. But there is one thing that is disturbing me already !!!! I know some of it's just rival banter but come on guys

STOP THIS MY FURBY IS BETTER THAN YOUR TAXI OCY etc etc crap

FFS we all drive skodas !!! end off There are a range of models in the skoda brand to suit just about everyone. Start comparing your cars against other BRANDS not each other. At the end of the day Briskoda is a community of SKODA DRIVERS' date=' why don't we act like one !!!

There  over

No doubt somebody's gonna have a go at me now

:sofahide:[/quote']

Dare I say welcome, you might be new but somehow I get the feeling we might be hearing more from you !!

Yea but the MPG on those isn't as good as the octy

The MPG on my S3 or Gixxer is not as good as an Octy :D anyway, bikes are better than all your furby and octy's (except when it's peeesing rain  )

Slightly on (ish) topic, I drive the furby because I like it, Company car is now an A4 and I never drive it I have given it to my mrs to lug the kids around etc. I would / do stick up for skoda rights when on other forums  . Could have bought an Octy vRS when I got rid of the Subaru, may look at an Octy2 vRS at the end of 2006 but until then the Furby fires my rockets.
