My cars better than your car

Featured Replies

Hi Guys and Gals

I'm new to this forum... coming from the Audi world. But there is one thing that is disturbing me already !!!! I know some of it's just rival banter but come on guys

STOP THIS MY FURBY IS BETTER THAN YOUR TAXI OCY etc etc crap

FFS we all drive skodas !!! end off There are a range of models in the skoda brand to suit just about everyone. Start comparing your cars against other BRANDS not each other. At the end of the day Briskoda is a community of SKODA DRIVERS, why don't we act like one !!!

There  over

No doubt somebody's gonna have a go at me now

Speak for yourself! :P

We tried that in the Fiesta thread and there is no other car which rivals Skoda build quality, reliability, in gear acceleration or mpg ... end of! A very balanced view of the world ;)

Chris

A bold statement but I applaud you ! :D

my mom has the best car

Nice to see a early morning rant, usually reserved for late evening.

And your point is well known.

As stated it's just a boot thing.

But its just so much fun, and everyone knows they own the better car anyway! :P

But my car is better than yours...

to be fair i cant argue with that one ;)

bold but good statement

I wonder how long it'll be before someone turns this thread into another furby/octy arguement?

I think there is a certain ammount of jealousy from furby VRS owners who really wanted the better performance of the octy but couldn't afford the extra couple of grand. Hence the need to proove to themselves (and anyone else who'll listen) that they've made the right choice

Not long then! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) (in case anyone misses the 'joke')

Tbh, this sort of banter is prevalent in many car orientated forums, and I believe it is just that, banter. :)

As has been already mentioned, the Skoda range has a model to suit every driver. And different people want different things. For example, I appreciate the Octy vRS has a whopping great boot, but its also got PVC seats and doesn't get 55mpg:P

Yeah can't argue with that but then again we both own ocys so I don't think it's a problem. It's all this silly furby/ocy slating that seem to be prevelant

Oh well

I imagine all the regulars will do a bit of :jab:

The whole thing comes down to jealousy...... Fabia drivers want the performance, petrol engine, decent climate control, equipment levels and space on offer from the Octavia while Octavia drivers want all of the things offered by the Fabia..... errrrrrr......... such as......... mildly better MPG.

;)

Auroan,

As you can see it is just banter( in the main), having owned 2 Octys & now on a Furby, each have their merits.

I have a car that suits my price & purpose. Most people on here appreciate that.

Well if it does turn into a furby/ocy argument thread, just proves no one listerns.

Hmmmm think it's time for me to wind my neck in and just chill out abit. Lets all just enjoy our skodas and relax

You forgot the earth-shattering in-gear acceleration, especially uphill ;)

Chris

Sorry - did I mention the Fabia "torque surge" and leaking doors... Octavia drivers would really like those too

And the Furby's not bad uphill either! :P :rofl:

I must say, they are such different cars, I think there aren't many people who looked at both cars! They are both brilliant cars in their own right, and both are "thinking" persons cars in their own right, thats what brings us all together!

(Us Furby owners are smarter though! :P :jab:)

It was a good effort auroan. One chill pill will tide you over.

Whilst Octavia owners are usually older and wiser
