Skoda Fabia 1.2 HTP Rear Wiper Washer Squirting everywhere in engine bay!

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I have a problem with my rear wiper. I can squirt my screen wash for the rear wiper and it leaks from around the bulk head. I was wondering whether anyone knows the number for the pipe?

Thanks,

Kangaroo

There's a click-together connection just below the ECU that you need to re-connect.  SNAFU with a Mk1 Fabia, check for blocked nozzle at the rear screen if it happens again.

More often happens in winter when the fluid in the pipe freezes (starting at the outlet) and pops off the connections as it expands. There's another connection near the rear passenger seatbelt that leaks into the car when it disconnects. Cunning design...

Cheers Wino.

I had a look at it with him earlier, where it clips onto the connection by the bulkhead is where its leaking from when connected.

On checking inside the tailgate earlier, it was disconnected there too, now reconnected screenwash does get to the back, though is coming out by the bulk head (at the joining connection there)

We were wondering if anyone knew the part number for the connection bits or where to get replacements?

Thanks in advance

Are you sure it's clicked together fully? I'll get you part numbers in a sec, but I've not heard of anyone needing to replace these before.

Thanks Wino - will go and double check.

I've just tried re-assembling, still leaking from three points by the looks of it.

Here's the diagram and part numbers. Something changed during 2005 by the looks of it, your car probably falls into the later category for all the bits where chassis number ranges are given, compare the last 8 digits of the VIN to be sure.

Many thanks Wino.

We tried a jubilee clip around the joint too - with no success :(

Looks like it will be a new part or whether I can get a secondhand bit to get us by.

Just cut the rubbish connectors off and sleeve the pipe with some Halfords 5mm vacuum tube. That's what I did with mine...

Thanks TBM for that, May try it or I will get a Skoda Part.

All the connections on mine had split, so some tight tubing slid over the two ends with clamps, sorted :)
