The 280PS Thread

Yeah it would lol ! It really tickles me how people take umbridge when you leave them at the lights.... In the 280 you don't even have to be trying.... You can then have loads of entertainment as you watch them commit road suicide just to get past you again. For me I've usually hit the cruise at 40  or 30 and it plays out again at the next set of lights....

Like I actually give a #### if they are in front or not ! Always makes me giggle ....

Hate to say this, but when i had my M135i a year ago, i used to bait people that looked like knobs...let them pull out to overtake and...whoosh, I was in the horizon in no time!!...very yobboish I know!

Inam interested to know more about this “Audi pedal” VCDS modification.

What does it do, and if it wanted it done when I buy a 280 how would I go about getting this change?

When the Golf is run in properly, (only 300 miles so far) I might behave badly too.

Your Superbs are much better Q cars though, too many drivers seem to notice the "R" badges..........

Now you realize what it's like to drive an old Superb or an EOS, neither car looks at all quick, but...........

I do have some pix already, but they show the number plate, so I'm not going to post them to a public forum.

If you care to PM me an email address I'll put compile a pix file & send them to you.

It's ok DC. Can't you blur the plate ? I'm sure the other guys will be interested to see your new beastie as well. What colour did you end up going for ?

Either that or you can "paint" them out using Microsoft Paint, you'll find it under Windows accessories   :)

I'm not good with computers, but I'll try to paint over the plates.......

Limestone Grey, possibly a "Marmite" colour, ' cos you either like it or you don't!

'All' it does is make the throttle much more responsive.

PM someone with VCDS and ask them to code it.

Depending on what part of Kent you are in I can do it, I'm in Folkestone.

Would you like to see pix of the old SuperB, I'm happy with the pix, but it's the same skill-set with "paint"................

Excuse time, I didn't even know that "paint" existed!

We don't want to drive around in "sport / race" all the time, but SWMBO would like the throttle response to be a little sharper, ( dainty feet....),

could you tweak our new Golf as well?

I'd also like to loose or reduce the Soundaktor racket if that's possible, the car is noisy enough as it is with artificial engine noise! (IMVHO, of course...)

Folkstone isn't too far for us, we need to get some miles on the car & it's an excuse for a trip to the seaside!

TIA, DC.

I'd better get it washed on Thursday, I've bought some buckets.............

Yeah go for it DC !

so if you want a better throttle response curve, try a pedal box from somewhere like dtuk

they are quite popular on the golf r as well, and all they do is change the throttle response curve so you eliminate the dead space at the start of the throttle. I've driven a friends' golfr, and we also put it into another mate's cupra r, and it made the car a lot more driveable.

it also doesnt modify the engine in any way so a win there.
