1. OEM Black front and rear badges to replace my ebay carbon look ones that did not fit too well

2. Rear boot lip protector as I use the car for loading things sometimes

3. Window deflectors for all 4 windows.

Those wind defectors look like they match very well colour wise. Not sure I would fit them these days as with a/c I rarely run with the window open. Now you have them fitted whats your view of whether they reduce wind noise when running with windows closed ?

Hi, they seem to reduce wind noise (without any scientific proof!) even with the windows closed.

Also they help with sun-glare and match my tinted windows well.

So practical and, IMO, look very nice on my car.

I have to get those black front and rear badges fitted in my sportline, they will match perfectly with the black exterior details!

My 280 SE L Estate was built last week and is now making its way to the UK. Delivery 1st wk September, can't wait!

If anyone is interested, just before my build i enquired about changing to the Sportline. I was not able to at the time as the model is not officially out yet here and when they do start orders ,probably mid Aug, they say delivery will not be until mid January 2017. Couldn't wait that long, next time maybe.

Other than Mid Aug does anybody know more accurate when the Sportline will be available to order?

Also if I took a Sportline and added on kit to get back to L&K spec I guess it would be a lot more.

I am really close to ordering an L&K 280 but really don't want chrome trim, I want black trims. Maybe I go L&K and buy aftermarket black trims and get somebody to fit for me?

Can you link to the parts you ordered on Superskoda please? I can see two boot lip protectors in black want to know which one you have shown in your pictures.

Sure, this is the boot lip protector:

And the wind deflectors:

How do you install the wind deflectors mate? Is it easy? I have my car detailed to within an inch of its life, and the only downside of the slick hydrophobic paint is the soaking I get if I dare open the window while there's any water on the roof (or it's raining)! :D

Only took me 15 minutes for all 4. Very easy, there is even a video online.

Or bring them at the next meeting and I can install them for you.

I used them today for a long trip. I had the windows open most of the way and none of the wind was blowing in my face making it uncomfortable.

They really work great!

Good to hear, and thanks very much for the kind offer! I'll have to get some ordered. Any excuse haha

To answer my own question, popped into my local dealer today and they said they would be taking Sportline order very soon. Any day now.

So will be Sportline for me with 280 instead of L&K, once the configurator is updated I will placing my order.

Looking at the configutator for Germany for an L&K (with just 19” wheels added) it works out €1190 dearer than the SL, to spec the SL up to the same level (in Germany) you need to add:

€420 extra for the Virtual pedal

€310 more for front sensors

€150 smartlink

€540 Canton

€330 Bolero

€130 Bluetooth

The SL then comes in at €690 more than the L&K

There is also no option for ventilated seats on SL as these are only available with leather seats.

Are there any clips needed to secure them in place, and if so are they marking the glass at all or do they struggle to close fully?

Hi,

2 clips for each piece. No marking of the glass that I can see and windows close perfectly.

Hi all,

Just about to order a 280 Estate through lease comany.  While finalising options over the phone today, I was advised that the LED Package Plus (which I have optioned...a nice bit of bling and a fun way of banishing the winter blues) could only be ordered in conjunction with KESSY (which I have not optioned...400 quid to not have to use a key seems a bit steep).

Can't see anything in the Superb brochure that says you have to have KESSY if you want LED Package Plus, and I think they've got it wrong.

Can any of you good people confirm?

Thanks,

Dan.

Hi Dan, sadly I think this is correct. IIRC it was one of the MY17 changes that was brought in. You didn't mention which trim so I've assumed SE-L. If you have a play with the configurator on Skoda's site it will confirm this too. Of course if you were able to stretch to the L&K trim you would get both of those things included anyway as standard, but I realise that might not be doable on your lease.

Thanks maffyou.

Yes, have just checked configurator.  Very annoying!!  Bit odd that you need KESSY if you want the LED lights.  Oh well, i'll save some cash.  And yes, sadly, L&K is too expensive on my lease (it was SE L Exec I was going for)

Thanks for replying.

I cam across your other post after replying. I agree, it's a strange requirement indeed!

Can anyone tell me if the 280 has a special servicing schedule being high performance with associated additional costs please?

Interesting. I was surprised it beat the Focus RS. Has anybody tried out Launch Control on the 280 yet. I see the manual mentions it.

No, standard service intervals.

At least once a week
