Personal lease, 7695 over two years, 10k per annum on 150 L&K hatch.

Personal lease. £1450 deposit £280 per month. 3 year 10k miles per year. Sel exec hatch. 150 diesel dsg with 19's. I thought it was pretty good but could have pushed a little more.

OK so it seems that the £528 is the standard maintenance package for three years. The "extra" £400 care & maintenance package relates to additional coverage for wear & tear to consumables like pads, discs, fluids and bulbs, but NOT tyres. Think I'll cancel this option because it seems like poor value - I reckon we'll do less than 25000 miles in three years and I doubt the rotors will need changing that quickly. Pad maybe, but only the fronts and they're cheap as chips.

I'd doubt you'll get through a set of pads in 25k. My previous Superb (albeit a Mk2) had its front pads changed at 80k. My current Superb is on 61k and there's tons of meat left on them.

Going on how dirty the wheels are getting I would say the ACC is going to eat front pads much quicker than normal (I am usually very light on brakes)

TBH, I hammer my brakes and my car is always loaded up with heavy air conditioning related equipment. Any A/C engineers on here will sympathise!

Why do you think I switched to anthracite Trinity alloys?  :D

All 3 of my last Skodas have done around 80k before I've changed the front pads. VAG brake pads do seem to last a long time. I'm surprised they haven't been made a bit thinner as a cost cutting exercise!

Lol yes impressive memory, DT from nissansportz & 350z-UK here! Still have the 370ZN - the Superb is a replacement for my wife's 116d.

Just checked the brochure and you're right, will get them to amend their pricing accordingly...

Lucky you still having a zed...sold mine (350Z) a couple of years back now, and have had a Megane R26 in the meantime, which has been great fun.

Hope you enjoy the Superb - bit more space than the 1-er.

Looking at updating my car and had quotes from configurator, cowow and new car discount which were £31500 (before discount), £28300 and £25500 for an 150 diesel manual L&K with several extras amounting to £3000. Quite a gap between the two agents. Will see how their "offers" pan out over the next few days.

Mine came to £37,225 before discount including options (280 L&K Estate/ Combi/ Beetroot/ Flapjack or whatever they are called!!!!) Ended up paying £29294.34 at new car discount...ordered on Monday and at present the ETA is late May!!!

So pretty happy so far.

My deal... (does not really look like a deal compared to some but depends on your view point...) but its 42 months and works out at £400 a month (which is covered by my car allowance)  including BIK for a SE Business 150TDI Combi with towbar and Bus Grey paint,

No deposit BUT its fully maintained, (hire car within 3 hours if required) insured (zero excess unless great than 3 claims in 12 months then £200) for UK and EU, full breakdown with Unlimited miles.

All i need to do is add fuel and drive it.

Worry free from my point of view.

I managed £32870 on the road from Griffin tax free car sales for a loaded Superb 280 L&K 4x4 with DSG.. Spec is:

- Moon white (£535.00)

- Brown leather with beige headlining

- 19" Phoenix anthracite wheels (£650.00)

- 3 spoke multifunction steering wheel with DSG paddles (£95.00)

- Ventilated front seats (425.00)

- Rear backrest release from the boot (£90.00)

- Panoramic sunroof (£1150.00)

- Variable boot floor (£150.00)

- Crew protection assist and rear side airbags (£435.00)

- Bluetooth and phone box (£250.00)

- Premium WLAN with integrated LTE internet (£350.00)

- Media command (£85.00)

- Smart gate (100.00)

- Rear view parking camera (£300.00)

- Smart light assist (£100.00)

- Travel assist with traffic sign recognition and display (£85.00)

- Heated windscreen washer nozzles (£50.00)

- Integrated tow bar (£765.00)

- 4 year extended warranty (£300.00)

- Ensurance (£0.00)

- Front passenger seat adjustment from the rear (£75.00)

In total a saving of just under £9000 at today's prices (list is £41930). Car is due to me by mid April and will cost £364 per month over 4 years (hence the extended warranty) following an initial £7500 deposit (which I had as 'profit' in my now sold Range Rover Sport HSE Black after paying off the finance). Final value is £10640 which although seemed low suits me whether I decide to sell it or keep the Superb. In essence I'm getting the options for free and a fair whack of the interest paid in reality - so a good deal I think. It would be better again if I had paid cash of course, but I can't ...kids in boarding school and house near Bath mean we're cash poor people until they finish university!

Looks like Skoda UK are now offering a £4000 deposit contribution, and 2 free services, but the interest rate is a hefty 6.3%

However the 3 examples on the Skoda website all show total payable more than £4000 higher than the on the road price, so effectively have £4000 headline off, but “lose” >£8000 as end up over £4000 worse than cash buyer.

some other models get 5.9% interest (although smaller deposits) reflecting their lower list price.

Prices went up by £615 on every Superb model yesterday on 3rd January.

Anyone who has an confirmed order in the pipeline is ok unless they now want a spec change. It will cost an extra £615 on top of any spec change charge according to my dealer.

Yep, my order went through on 28th December!

My deal:

PCP, 12 month old car with 4500 on the clock (ex Skoda). The car itself is a 150 TDI SE L Executive, Business grey, standard 18 wheels

Options:

Park pilot

Phone box

DCC

Rain sensor

Tri zone climate control

Full size spare wheel

Traffic sign assist

Including GAP, life shine and smart insurance, over a 15000 mile per annum PCP (4 years), I'm paying £352.18 a month. Technically I've no deposit as the £1500 I had to put down on it ended up being used to clear the equity on my trade in which was over it's PCP allowance.

Oh, on top of that they also chucked in around half a tank of diesel, floor mats and the next two services for £139 the pair!

Bought mine via Carfile. Got 15% discount and 0% finance. Very happy.

Sportline 150 TDi DSG hatch Lazer white

Extras

Front and rear parking sensors

Heateded front seats

Heated windscreen

Heated washer nozzles

Space saver wheel

Traffic sign recognition

Rear wiper (no cost )

£5000 deposit

£288 per month 48 months

FGV payment £10500

10,000 miles per annum

original quote was £352 a month and FGV of £6700 but for 30,000 miles a year which I thought was very good, but change of job has cut my mileage considerably as I now get a company van

tried to change at last moment to 220 Petrol but car has already been delivered to dealer for March the 3rd pick up

Superb Estate 2.0 TSI DSG Sport Line

Through Car Wow

14% off list price

Plus got additional £4k Skoda scrappage for my old knackered diesel :)

Strongly recommend the Carwow offers. Skoda’s car configurator lists a Superb 1.4 TSi DSG SE with metallic paint at £25,220, Carwow’s offers on PCP are coming in at £19,302 to £19,606 with 12 months’ tax (Carwow quote a headline saving of 23%, but when you take off the current £4k deposit contribution from Skoda, it’s actually a saving of  up to £1,918 or approx 9%).

Point to bear in mind is that the pre-January APR on finance of 4.9% has now gone up to 6.3%.

I managed to bag mine through Carwow on the old rate, the deal including metallic paint, year’s tax, and an allowance of just under £400 on my Octy after its PCP is paid off.

I got the same 14% + £4k scrappage using carfile.net prices as leverage at a dealer. Then added 1st 2 services at £279. I thought the deal was ok. TODAY I checked DTD deals today (with the latest price increase), and I could NOW get the same price or better by taking PCP which I could withdraw from after a few days and avoid interest and keep the freebies - the £4k deposit contribution  AND 2 FREE services plus 3 yr pan European breakdown FOC!  And I'd still have our much loved diesel which I could sell privately for at least £750.:angry::angry:

I do feel conned by the whole Scrappage scam. Should have known better.

Ultimately, whatever the detail of your deal, the ony thing that matters is whether you are getting the car you want at a price you can afford. You haven’t got a bad deal, Xman, just a different one - deals will always be a moving feast.

No. 0% Skoda finance.

There are no cheap ways of buying cars, I have tried every method in the book over the years and they all end up costing you lots of money

very costly habit, one I keep promising my self to give up, and buy second hand, but those shiny new cars get to me every time, I must stay away from showrooms

I am looking to upgrade to a mk3 later this year.  What is interesting me at the moment is the significant reduction in prices on 12-18 month old diesel cars even those with low mileage. When I bought my current Superb new, after a load of research I rejected a nearly new purchase as there was a tiny gap between a year old car and new car with discount. At the moment I see that gap is a lot wider, and a dealer friend (another brand) tells me that the stories in the media about diesel sales falling is true. Seemingly this is being reflected in the price of nearly new diesel cars, which are apparently not so easy to shift as they were.  For me this means that provided there is no significant market change, that I will likely buy a low mileage nearly new car rather than order a new car.
