Back on its wheels at last!

  • Wento for a quick trip to the petrol station. Got sidetracked. I am loving this car! It sounds like it's gargling on the fuel not just drinking it, what an awesome sound!

Hi Rob. I see most of your photos have vanished from this thread. I just get   url expired 😞

Useful bit of kit that Rob, I really admire the dedication to the cause on this car.

I can think of a few people who would have given up long ago on this.

Have you tried running a temporary feed to the dash to confirm it is in the loom?.

Can you still get seat foams for the car from a heritage type of place?.

Ahh, bugger. The downside of linking to Facebook to host images  😞

Thanks mate, yes I am probably a little too stubborn! I will get  this car done :)

Haven't had chance to troubleshoot properly yet but that's one thing I need to do, plus check there's power to the right pins on the connector - 3 or 4 if I recall.

I sent the seats to Kohl Rod and Custom because the foam was turning to powder and triggering my partner's asthma!

Had a quick look at Patrizia as she has gone silent. No obvious blown components so my mate will be taking a look soon.

Ohh yeah! How good do these look?
A huge improvement by Kohl Rod & Custom Ltd. Sanitised, rebuilt and replaced foam, repaired and re-assembled. They look and feel way better.

This is my intake air temp sensor which after some troubleshooting a while ago I assumed was faulty. The car cuts boost at about 4500rpm.
Working with Neill at roissy.co.nz today we cleaned and tested the sensor, and proved it's working as it should. Back to the drawing board there!

That's a lot prettier. And you can see the fluid level now. It needed a little modification to fit, but looks much better.

Really need to get this car on the road.

Shiney new bits..................................nice.

Any news on the boost cut issue, or is that ongoing Rob?.

Christ, that 5 years went by quick.

That's ongoning. I've proved that the intake air temp sensor works and the wiring is good, next step is to do some more wire and sensor tests.

I think Neill may have gone a little overboard with his Patrizia voice synthesiser diagnostic system.
Very clever and very cool.
Still pinning down exactly what inputs she wants, she's very particular, but we're working her out.

I decided to fit the 034Motorsport short shifter I've had in my cupboard for several years.
