Hey to everyone, and also a little sanity check for me.

Hello all,

Thought I should introduce myself, I am Guy, from Sydney, Australia. MY13 Fabia VRS owner and lover. Had a few hiccups along the way, although she is still fairly new but not here to complain.

Noticed something odd the other day, when i arrived home, went to wind up the windows, used the auto up, then applied the handbrake only to have my (driver side) window immediately go back down. Tried it a few more times, same deal.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Just a curious one.

But just thought I would say hey and stop lurking.

When you say you tried it a few more times do you mean tried putting the window up (without hand brake) again and it came back down or that you tried the window and hand brake combination again? Is there any dirt or debris inside the runner on the door frame where the window goes up? It could be the anti pinch feature. If it only happens when you pull the hand brake at the same time then I'm stumped.

Yeah happened to me, probably just a bit of dirt in the way.  If it keeps happening just touch the window up a bit at a time, leave it for a bit then try the Auto up/down again.

Apologies for not articulating myself correctly.

Window functions correctly all the time, unless in the odd occasion when I start putting the window up with the auto feature (second stage on the switch) and then apply the handbrake. This is the order of events that i tried several times:
1. Put window all the way down, with handbrake released.

2. Wind window up utilising the auto (second stage) of the switch.

3. Before window reaches closed point, apply handbrake.

Every time i tried it, the window stops and goes back down. In addition I let the window go up and down fully, but there was not an issue till i applied the handbrake. I thought about the anti-pinch function, just seemed oddly specific for it it happen like that.

Not concerned, just thought it an odd one, and thought i would see if anyone else had stumbled across it.

I will check the tracks and rubbers for dirt and see if that is a cause.

Thanks for the suggestions.
